Looks and feels like a mobile port. Controls are obviously designed for a touch screen; they feel awkward transplanted to a mouse and keyboard. There's no way to rebind the movement keys. If you're more comfortable turning with AD and strafing with QE, you're out of luck. Awful field of view- you can't see items on the ground where you're standing. Combat and magic mechanics are unique, but building your stats and character is a bland pursuit. I refunded after playing the first chapter; if the achievement stats are to be belived, 65% of players didn't even get that far. The game might get better after a few hours, but I'm not confident.
Mobile aesthetics aside, it's not bad. Interesting combat system, good balance between puzzles and fighting. Has some flaws mainly the ui but it's easy to get used to.
The graphics and overall polish of the game are definetely an improvement over the 3DS version, though it is a bit of a shame that the title screen is a 3D render now instead of the more stylistically interesting 2D screen of the 3DS version. You can really feel that the mechanics were originally made for a 3DS game. Almost constantly having a little field in the corner of your screen that you have to draw lines on with your mouse is, in my opinion, a definite downgrade to just having all of the actual gameplay take place on a touchscreen. But there's really nothing to be done here, if you want to make this game playable for the PC. The touch screen gameplay is essential to the game and I feel like the developers were as successful as is possible at converting the game from the 3DS to the PC format. The story is hardly the focus of the game but it serves the experience well enough. It gives us a hero that is easy to root for in a world that is kind of interesting. The puzzles and secrets are fun and never particularly frustrating. Keeping your eyes open to find new spells or better gear is quite rewarding. The music in this game is quite good. It's atmospheric and fun to listen to. The clear highlight, for me at least, is the magic system of the game. The spell matrix and rune system encourage creativity in the player. The better you are at arranging your runes in the matrix, the more spells you have at your disposal. It's a really fun and rewarding mechanic that ties your effectiveness in combat to your ability to puzzle out combinations to your runes. It encourages thinking strategically and really elevates The Keep as a whole. Overall it's a very fun experience.
Old style , premetto ho appena finito legend of grim .

This game is pretty short, have some a smartphone mechanism in gui, but overall it's a good game with a potential square fighting style, some progression, and easy puzzles (especially if you grew up playing DM, OoB, or other classic games).
The Keep ocení hlavně začínající a příležitostní hráči. Ostatní pravděpodobně odradí svou průměrností a plytkostí. The Keep pod těmito přísnějšími měřítky neobstojí.
7/10 Not bad but could be better Pros + grid based crawler - there arent too many of those and I like them very much + nice graphics + quite interesting levels + cheap Cons - short - unbalanced - melee combat is pointless or at least very weak comparing to magic. End game opponents may be impossible to beat if you werent investing in magic - tiresome swipe mechanics - not interesting character development (because magic is the only good path and its all about one stat). Only one character to develop (no party). Not much equipment variety.
Nic velkého, ale příjemná jendohubka.
this is one of those cases where i really wish there was an inbetween for recommending or not recommening a game. The Keep is one of those weird games that you walk around tile by tile and explore a dungeon. the thing that gets me is the level design. every 2 steps its a puzzle, and enemies are either pushovers or boss worthy. i rate it positive because so far everything has been possible to overcome with some really hard thinking and tight maneuvering, however that becomes draining when you get stuck on a puzzle immediately after a puzzle you were stuck on, which will probably be immediately followed by another puzzle. play this game if you like puzzles.
