About
Takumi Sumino is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex, a place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling himself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear... All he has to do is stab himself in the chest!
The next thing he knows, Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders?
The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair...
Takumi's choices will decide his future, but there's no telling what kind of consequences these decisions might have...
When the invaders attack, it's up to you to protect the school in SRPG battles.
Use each student's unique Specialist Skills to turn the tide of battle in your favor!
Spend time with your teammates to deepen your bonds, or explore the wilderness and ruins outside the school.
You can even use the items you find to craft gifts and get even closer to your allies!

There were a couple of underwhelming routes, some plotholes here and there, as well as combat overall felt lackluster in terms of difficulty (there honestly could've been some mechanic that made encounters more difficult based on the amounts of *clears* you had in your savefile), but overall the game was great, well-worth the cost and time. 100% completed and very much looking forward to any kind of new content it might have!
Having beaten my first route, I can safely say this game is amazing, and deserves more recognition.
Good game.
this game is great and i love the story and all but i rly hope they fix the save corruption bug soon cause its getting to the point where i can't save unless i spam save etc, other than that characters is amazing and sound track is amazing 10/10 would recommend who like this sort of game but pls fix the corruption bug c:
One of my favorite games I’ve played if you’re a fan of Dangenropa i highly recommend it
This game requires a HUGE time investment to get everything out of it. It took me 171 hours to get all the endings while diligently reading and I enjoyed my time. I would strongly recommend this game to someone wanting to get immersed in something. If you only want to commit to one route, I personally recommend you research how to reach
Ending 1
The steam community page has a spoiler-free guide for specific endings. It’s an amazing one and done path that can stand on its own. This is simply my recommendation. Every ending hits different for every person, which I think is the beauty of this game. For example, while I praise
Ending 1
, it’s not even my personal favorite, which is why I'd encourage you to fully explore the game and find the route that you connect with the most. Not every route was a masterpiece (Because yeah, some were a miss for me), but despite that I enjoyed seeing everything the game had to offer.
this part is written after getting 100/100 endings. some of this game is truly amazing. certain routes had me engaged throughout and struggling to put the controller down. the peaks of the 2nd Scenario route are in contention for one of my favourite VN stories of all time. at the same time, you get stuff like the box of blessings route that I put down so many times bc it truly was mind-numbing. Most routes are generally good, but many feel tonally and narratively dissonant from the rest (likely a result of both rushing and the writers differing between routes). below is my personal ranking of the routes. [wip] == original review below. overall, great game. gameplay is good but gets old after a while (mostly just from game length and lack of variety). the game doesn't do enough to change things up, so every fight kinda feels the same (especially once everyone's positions stop changing, e.g. the twins are always defending the east, takumi and nozomi are always defending south, etc etc). the game seems aware of this though since you can start skipping fights you've already done in another route, so there's that. at that point, the game becomes essentially strictly just a visual novel. you can also trivialize the game by hyper-investing into Tsubasa from day 1 (with last yell support from party) and just mowing down every single wave. i've heard this works for tons of characters too, but her not dealing with fatigue makes it so easy. story is hit-or-miss. when it hits, it really is very engaging and unique. at other times, it just goes on wayy too long, or the story branch just never gets interesting. to be fair, you can skip most routes, but some are required for one of the game's most conclusive endings. luckily, these "required" routes aren't the worst, but there's a pretty noteworthy example of a mandatory one that is essentially complete nonsense (the box of calamities route's ritual ending). of the routes i've done so far (roughly 65/100), there are only a few i didn't enjoy (romance and some branches of other routes) and only a few i thought were exceptional. still don't know everything about the lore, so i wont get into that
