Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 2 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Takumi Sumino is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex, a place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling himself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear... All he has to do is stab himself in the chest!
The next thing he knows, Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders?
The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair...
Takumi's choices will decide his future, but there's no telling what kind of consequences these decisions might have...
When the invaders attack, it's up to you to protect the school in SRPG battles.
Use each student's unique Specialist Skills to turn the tide of battle in your favor!
Spend time with your teammates to deepen your bonds, or explore the wilderness and ruins outside the school.
You can even use the items you find to craft gifts and get even closer to your allies!

Reviews
This is the best visual novel I have ever played. I don't say that lightly. I have a lot of respect for Kazutaka Kodaka and his writing in the Danganronpa series for its genre-bending and meta narratives, but Kodaka, Uchikoshi, and the writing team of Tookyo Games have taken every stereotype about their styles and put them on their heads. Once you get to a certain point in Hundred Line, the game and its story opens up to you in ways that are liking painting a new beautiful picture with the same brush strokes. The game is gorgeous in its CG's and 3D animations, and the most ambitious project Kodaka has ever worked on. The music is top notch as usual. The voice acting is great as well - I listened in English and had a great time. The tactics gameplay has some unique twists and replayability, but make no mistake, it's the story that hooks into you and never lets go. I cannot recommend this game enough. If you like compelling stories and you're okay with a time commitment, this game is a must-play.

141 Hours and 100 endings later, Hundred Line has impressed me with its amazing and ambitious narrative with an amazing cast, story, and endless possibilities for what to do with this for the future. I loved so much about this game and loved getting to know every cast member (especially Kurara) over the course of the game and when you finally reach the end, you feel like you're saying goodbye to friends you've come to know and love. Thanks to Too Kyo Games for making something I'll never forget and I can't wait to see what happens to Takumi and the class of Last Defense Academy in the future!
This is genuinely one of the few games where, upon finishing, I immediately went back and replayed it for some of the other endings. It's super interesting, it keeps you hooked the whole time, stuff is never as it seems, and there's a turn-based tactical mode as well so it isn't just pure VN. It ran just fine on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop as well, it's optimized great.
I have 40+ hours in this game and I still feel like i have NO IDEA whats going to happen.. game is incredible.
I’m conflicted on this one… I said I’d recommend the game but that comes with a lot of caveats. Let’s get this out of the way; I had fun. I did. But I sure didn’t 100% the game. This really is a 120+ experience. It’s insane. But not in ways that are always good. You’ve seen the steam tag by now, so there’s no harm in saying there’s multiple endings. Well there’s a lot. A LOT. But none of them sit right with me. So many things change that the game feels noncommittal. Character personalities, the world you’re playing in… things just come and go without making any sense. Of course some things you see will only be explained way later, comes with the territory, but a lot of things aren’t and it just felt off. Plus some of the endings and the themes in them just feel… ew. I can’t say which but you’ll know the main offender when you see it. Also there’s the combat I guess. Nothing too remarkable there. Not bad, not groundbreaking. It’s kind of a side-note. Don’t expect XCOM, you’re not getting that. All in all, think of it as a super big choose your own adventure book, with all the advantages and unfortunate downsides that come with it. I had my fun with Hundred Line, but I’d be lying if I said the inconsistencies and even some of the endings didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth.
massive waste of time with no real payoff
It's complicated.
