THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake

Extremely too much money for a 30-40 minute experience, I have nothing else to say besides it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ without the hardware futher making the cost dumb.

小時候在網咖看人玩過，遺憾當時並沒有玩過原版的 如今買來玩，算是補足兒時未完成的體驗 整個過程，我就是Ｒ＋射擊～～不要停！ 不過流程劇情短，遊戲主體大概是挑戰成就和突破成績 對我來說，基本就是一次性遊戲，破完之後就畫下句號了

Mixed vibes. It's basically the first game except it got a hair transplant and some dental implants. It's nice for a nostalgia visit. It it holds true to the original, whether it be the good or the bad. The visuals are cool. The performance can be iffy at times. It can be beat quickly, but It has some replay value? This, that, and the third. But it is enjoyable. Being a fan and playing most of them, from the original at an Arcade, up to Overkill on the Wii; I had to check this out. Yes it isn't the greatest, but it isn't junk either. Worth checking out when it's on sale.

Waste of time and money, dont' buy.

This is gonna be one of those situations where you could say that this could be a "mixed" game and it isn't necessarily because it's a bad remake, I actually think it does a pretty good job at doing so, but it's because at a full MSRP of $25 the game can be beaten in about 30 minutes or less and offers almost no replayability for most. An evil scientist Dr. Curien has created an undead army of "creatures" and now it is up to AMS Thomas Rogan and/or Agent G to go into his mansion in an attempt to thwart his evil plan to take over the world and save anybody else stuck there. Gameplay itself is an on-rails fps, not really much to say other than that it felt very smooth to shoot everything and it doesn't deviate from the original's pattern. Being able to go down different routes based on not being able to save a scientist or opening up a trapdoor etc is a really good touch (giving props more to the original.) You either like these kind of games or don't. The dialogue is a 1for1 recreation, nothing is changed at all which is both very cool and hilarious as you'll go to grab a card that says in all caps "SECURITY" for Rogan to go "This must be the security card!" Oh no s**t Sherlock, you solved the case. I don't know if it was due to laziness or to just keep the same aura of the original in this regard, I'm not complaining, I'm more of just stating. The soundtrack is pretty good here. It is different compared to the original and that might be a pro or a con within itself as on one hand it's refreshing, on the other it's not the same soundtrack people know. Both soundtracks are a bop for different reasons so it's gonna be a preferential kind of deal, but there is a mod on Nexus if you wanted to just purge the remake's and replace it with the arcade's. Visuals are a mixed bag because I think they did a really good job translating all of the models of the characters, they added things to the environments to make the world feel lived in, but they also went the route of getting rid of vibrancy to make everything gloomier, which would make sense for this tone of game, but they also kind of blend a lot of things together. Oh yeah, what's up with the awful Unity splash screen? I saw this and immediately thought negatively especially when it softlocked my game. If we're talking about glitches or performance issues, this and 1 other crash was the only thing I experienced. Would I recommend this? For $25, NAH NAH, but when you can get it on a sale like this at $2.49 I would say YEAH. It's one of those game that you would see in the bargain bin at Walmart or Gamestop back in the day, not quite there for you to give it the full asking price, but when there's a deal you might be able to swing it.

Worth it on the sale its on now for £2.24, other than that its not worth it, way too easy with a mouse and keyboard, mostly buy it for the nostalgia

It's an ok game at least somehow plays better than the second remake which is funny Also, I kinda like the new tracks, yes, even the Bootleg Magician Theme overall, at least a fun experience in short bursts
