This is a hate letter to the growing indifference in the world. When members of the development team almost fell into homelessness some years ago, it inspired us to create something that gives a voice to the forgotten and the vulnerable. We take the subject very seriously and portray it as such.
After over 7 years of research and hard work, 100s of updates and fan support, we bring you our tale of survival and isolation.

Choose from 5 different characters each with their own background stories and maladies, then create your own story
Find companions and find kindness. Build a reputation or even friendships with various characters including the other homeless and the police
Build your inventory with food, survival tools, clothing and more... as well as unlocking new items for your next playthrough as you progress
Spend a night in police stations, parks or shelters, spend time at bars, visit the clinic, study in the library, recycle scrap and more as you discover new areas and buildings
Learn about the lives of the homeless and everything they go through to survive, with every part of the truth having been heavily researched by the developers.
Experience a beautifully composed emotional soundtrack
I spent a long time talking to people on the streets and those who've experienced sleeping rough to listen to their stories, many of which are included in the game as "night events". This game was made with the vision of getting homelessness and it's difficulties across through a game that's engaging and empathetic.
We also spent time delving into and cross referencing a ton of literature on homelessness provided publicly by various charity, journalistic and government institutions.
Manage your hunger, hygiene, happiness, crime levels, street reputation, study levels and other stats as you try to survive and escape the homeless life. But you can only do so much in one day... what will you do?
Will you spend the day begging, depending on the kindness of others?
Will you find shelter in the night?
Perhaps you're moved out of the area by the police for loitering. Unable to find shelter, you end up on the streets at night, and you meet a dog. Is it a stray? Could it be a friend? All your actions affect your happiness in some way, and it's up to you to manage your stats accordingly. You could turn to drink, but risk addiction. You could hope for a fortunate event, or make some progress towards your survival.
But you will have to choose. It could all be over if a bad event occurs in the dangerous night streets. Especially during winter.
Every game is different, and with each playthrough comes more ways to explore CHANGE.
If you became homeless... what would you do?

Our goal with this project is to raise awareness on the issue of homelessness, as well as raise money for it. We have done a ton of research for this project and while our wish is to portray the reality of homelessness, various aspects of sleeping rough have been abstracted for the sake of gameplay.
So far, we've raised over £7000 for the charities CRISIS, The Clocktower Sanctuary and Shelter.

It took me three attempts to beat the game. The first two times, my character gave up because he was too unhappy, and as his happiness decreased, the world around him gradually became more dull and grey. Throughout the game, you're constantly managing hunger, money shortages, lack of shelter, unemployment, and weather conditions like rain or snow. Many situations also depend on luck or missed opportunities, adding an interesting layer of unpredictability to each attempt. After every run, you unlock additional items and locations that become available in future playthroughs, gradually expanding your options and strategies over time. What really stood out to me is how these systems work together to create a genuine sense of pressure and instability. Even simple progress often feels fragile, and failures don’t feel random but rather like natural consequences of the circumstances. It can be tough at times, but that’s exactly what made the experience feel more authentic and memorable, which is why I kept coming back to it.
A lot of gamers don't have a lot of knowledge of anything in the socio-economic sphere. This should be a must-play for everyone, just for the concept and how the devs created a system of pressures and failures. As someone who has been homeless before, obviously this game doesn't really encapsulate what that experience truly looks like. However, I could definitely see it opening eyes for people, or at the very least, have their thoughts churning over what Homelessness can be. The art, color palate, and themes changing based upon your happiness and the seasons is a nice touch. I appreciated the 2D stylings for a game like this. It allows the game to go from gritty to bright and everything in between at ease. From a gameplay perspective: the roguelike systems are very basic and there are only a couple true ways to go about "beating the game". There aren't too many randomized events in general; everything is pretty streamlined. That isn't really how you should think about this game though, but I wanted to include it for the sake of reviews. The gameplay is sufficient enough to at least play a few times. I'm writing this after two full runs, where I died from suicide due to a lack of happiness, and the second run where I successfully became not homeless. There is some replayability with different character archetypes and NG+ adding layers of difficulties that will get you closer to the pressures of actually being homeless in real life. My favorite systems were how the city, the people around you, and police actively adapted against you, as a homeless person. This is easily the most accurate system in the game by far. Other reviewers are correct in that there are some bugs and inadequacies in terms of ui/ux deployment, but it doesn't ruin the gameplay loop. Small inconveniences. Overall, this is a must play. Gamers, open your mind and eyes to a sect of reality that is often purposely forgotten and ignored. Excited to see what Delve Interactive will be coming up with next.

Tabii o lanet tost yüzünden her seferinde kendimi zehirleyip yataklara düşüyorum. Dükkanlar desen her gün zam, her gün fiyatlar uçuyor. dram üstüne dram yaşıyorum.
love the gameplay and concept, however this game is absolutely full of bugs that started to ruin the experience for me. I am desperately hoping the dev comes back to fix these issues because this is such a neat game. as un-polished as it is right now it's hard to recommend.

I love this game. The idea of being challenged every day to get out of homelessness and poverty is an interesting experience. This game reflects life well, I think. I recommend it!
I came into this game not knowing what to expect, but I ended up enjoying every part of the journey. What I loved most wasn't just surviving day by day. It was figuring out how the game works and slowly improving with every attempt. Starting with almost nothing makes every small achievement feel meaningful. Finding food, earning enough money for a place to sleep, learning where to go, and managing your needs all create a satisfying sense of progression. The best part is watching your character go from struggling on the streets to building a new life. That feeling of redemption and hope is what made this game memorable for me. This isn't a fast-paced game. It rewards patience, planning, and learning from your mistakes. Every failed run teaches you something that makes the next one better. My tips for new players: -Don't spend your money carelessly during the first few days. Save whenever you can. -Learn the city layout early. Knowing where shelters, food sources, and opportunities are will make survival much easier. -Balance your needs instead of focusing on just one. Hunger, hygiene, warmth, and energy all matter. -Don't be discouraged if your first few runs fail. The game is designed so that experience and knowledge become your biggest advantages. -Set small goals first instead of trying to achieve everything at once. Survive, stabilize your income, then work toward improving your life. -Take your time reading events and choices, they can have lasting effects on your journey. Overall, Change: A Homeless Survival Experience gave me a surprisingly rewarding experience. It's challenging, emotional, and satisfying to see your character overcome hardship and start a new life. If you enjoy survival, resource management, and games where your decisions matter, I think this is worth playing.
