[h1] Genre [/h1] Ein Kurzes Hidden Object Adventure mit Technischen Schwächen [h1] Story [/h1] Wir spielen eine junge Architektin namens "Judy" und sollen das Legendäre "Gatsby" Anwesen neu restaurieren. Direkt bei ihrer Ankunft wird sie allerdings in "Gatsbys" Krimineller Vergangenheit mit reingezogen. Ihre Beste Freundin "Amy" wird entführt und sie soll für den Kidnapper, den Legendären Schatz, der sich irgendwo auf dem Anwesen Gelände befindet, finden und überbringen [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Es spielt sich ganz Genre Typisch. Wir lösen Wimmelbildrätsel und Minispiele. Die Rätsel sind alle relativ schnell und einfach zu lösen. Das Spiel hat aber einige Bugs wie z.B. Musik & Sound Aussetzer an bestimmten Stellen im Spiel, einmal verschwand der Mauszeiger, gegen Ende des Spiels gab es ein Freeze und das Letzte Achievement fürs beenden des Spiels im Experten Modus habe ich erst beim Zweiten Durchspielen bekommen (warum auch immer) [h1] Achievements [/h1] Es gibt insgesamt 17 Erfolge. Hierfür muss man das Spiel komplett im Experten Modus beenden ohne Tipps einzusetzen und ohne Minispiele zu Überspringen. Ich habe das letzte Achievement erst nach dem Zweiten Durchspielen bekommen [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Story ganz OK + Musik ganz OK + Voice Acting ganz OK + Artwork sieht ganz Ordentlich aus + Achievements + Sammelkarten - Musik & Sound Aussetzer - Ich hatte einen Freeze Bug gegen Ende des Spiels - Einmal verschwand der Mauszeiger komplett - Wenn man eine Szene wechselt gibt es eine kleine Verzögerung (es ist nervig beim back Tracking, weil es keine Schnellreise Funktion gibt) - Das Achievement fürs beenden des Spiels im Experten Modus habe ich erst beim Zweiten Durchspielen bekommen [h1] Fazit [/h1] Ein Kurzes Hidden Object Adventure mit einer recht guten Story aber mit vielen Schwächen. One of the old school H.O.Gs with a mystery. Unless you already know what the Great Gatsby is about... Then you can just have fun walking around, doing stuff? H.O.s in this one are not too cluttered and good at hiding stuff. The puzzles... Puzzles are on the easy side. They don't need some intense math compounds to complete. I have noooo qualms with it... Apart for ONE THING......... THE FINAL ACHIEVEMENT. Play on Expert Mode and Skip nothing. Oh, do you think they are ONLY referring to H.O./Puzzles? Hell no! They mean EVERYTHING. This includes: Absolutely no cutscene skips / no dialogue fast-forwarding/skipping / no map usage / solve everything yourself / no Hints and...! You aren't allowed to let the character talk over her own words. Oh and do NOT check out your little book. With evidence. Just in case. (Most of these hints come from a person who actually suffered through the game... More than 4x and actually got the Achievement. Kudos.) Got that? Well guess what? You'll fail a few times... And you have to go like... Reeeeealllllly slow with everything. Well guess what again? Despite knowing all that... I still failed. Why? Apparently the MC talked over herself once or twice and disabled the Achievement. Thanks a lot... Screw it! I beat the game. Twice. WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!! ^-^ Thanks regardless!! :) :> (Oh and they don't tell you this, but... Watch out for your "Pocket Watch" activating. Эта история любовная, с детективным, и не скажу с каким концом. Действия развиваются на окраине штата Нью-Йорка, на "длинном острове" - Лонг-Айленда, среди особняков богачей. Наверняка многие уважающие себя люди помнят 20-е годы - тот хаос Первой мировой войны и экономический бум, когда американское общество неслыханно процветало. В то время "сухой закон" сделал бухгалтеров миллиардерами и принес за собой развитие преступного мира. Нежную похвалу шлю разработчику, за намек о прочтении книги. А как известно – «книга – воистину беседа с умным человеком". Также, в 2013 году вышла экранизация по данному роману. В главных ролях: всегда молодой Леонардо Ди Каприо, супермен Тобиас Винсент Магуайр и несравненная Кэри Маллиган. Видеоигра полностью на английском языке, что весьма меня порадовало, хоть играючи подучу английский. Такие игры, где нет возможности переключиться на свой родной, например, русский - полезны для тех, кто изучает иностранные языки. В других обзорах говорилось про хромую оптимизацию. Ребята, а вы шутники, какая может быть оптимизация в примитивной игре?! Где в настройках можно только управлять звуком, переключиться на полноэкранный режим и поменять иконку курсора. Оптимизация тут превосходная. А если у кого-то и есть подобное, так представьте, что это DLC "Hallucinogenic puzzles" и процесс игры обретет ярко-новый смысл. Из минусов отмечу только бесконечные подсказки, их нельзя даже выключить (а так хочется нажать пресловутую кнопку «HINT» … А это еще страшнее чем запретный плод первой женщины на Земле!). Да что уж там, подсказки появляются сами по себе. Зачем же такие грешные минусы делать, на наши лысые головы... Великого Гэтсби купила по скидке -89%, но это даже покупкой не назовешь, так как коллекционные карточки пока окупают ту скидочную сумму на которую куплена игра. Так что спасибо, и разработчику, и простому смертному за щедрый подарок, и за то, что, сумела сэкономить денюжку на черный день, и в лифчик себе положить! Время прохождения: до 7 часов.

I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

I'm sad to have to give this otherwise superb game a thumbs down due to breaking bugs. In my case I reached the final scene, having done everything correctly, but somehow was missing a final item that I'm sure I acquired. The hint button could not help. I was forced to watch the ending on YouTube. It seems that other people are reporting bugs, too. It's sad because this game is gorgeous, perfectly paced, and perfectly atmospheric. The hidden-object scenes are classic, a good mix of easy-to-find and very-hard-to-find. The puzzle mini-games are quite easy, but the point-and-click puzzles can be quite challenging, especially if played on expert mode. Unfortunately, the game engine is not as polished as the art. Other than the bugs, I found it overly sensitive sometimes. A wrong click and you might interrupt an important voice-over, with the written message disappearing, too. Maybe you won't encounter the same bug I did? Other people seemed to have finished the game. Good luck.

pros + nice looking colorful background graphics and character models + nice background musics + voice overs good + well made cut scenes + the hidden object scenes enjoyable + game's story is intriguing and exciting + hint system helpful + puzzles and mini games are easy and enjoyable + there is auto save + two difficulty options + there are steam achievements cons - game is short - no cards - black loading screens between locations and some laggy animations - there is a map but it's useless because there is no shortcuts - because of lighting/coloring of the some backgrounds some items in HO scenes hard to see - there is a lot of backtracking overall this is an good quality p'n'c and HO game but I recommend you to buy this game only when it gets discount.

Definitely worth it to get the game if it's on sale. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend paying full price. It's a rather short HOG that wraps up its story fairly quickly. For a reasonable price, it's a nice game to play through because it's at *least* playable. But for $6, I wouldn't recommend it. It has its own little technical issues, like a black loading screen popping up every time you change locations, withdraw from a Hidden Object scene, etc. The cut to these is always sharp and lags the game play slightly. Sometimes the volume is out of control with the voices and background noises ([i]one scene has a REALLY LOUD creaking light that constantly repeats, and nearly every rusted door you open makes the same, loud groan[/i]). Not to mention how big the map gets as you progress through the game, and you are unable to jump locations. You physically have to travel room-by-room, and that can get exhausting with the loading screens. Then there comes the issue with the Hidden Object scenes themselves - these are exceptionally hard to play because it includes finding very thin objects, like pins and tiny designs. Sometimes the lighting/coloring of the scenes make some things impossible to catch, and includes a million of various things lying about that get in the way of finding them. Definitely not something to play just for the Hidden Object scenes. Otherwise, the game takes an interesting stab at [u]The Great Gatsby[/u] source. It wraps up the story of the novel fairly quickly, and it's an intriguing take to what Gatsby's mansion would've looked like. You visit locations that are callbacks to the book, and I'd say it does a decent job respecting the original story. However, I should mention the voice acting could've been performed much better - some lines are delivered without any emotion at all. But the art is actually very well-done, especially in the cutscenes. I wouldn't play the game for its story if you had already read the book, but possibly for how well the art is done. Again, it has its technical issues that I wouldn't recommend paying full-price for, but at a discounted price, I think it's worth the 2-hour playtime. I'd very much prefer more realistic HOGs like these, that don't include magic or dragons or fairy tales. It's a great break from the typical 'fantasy' genre most HOGs are set in, but isn't anything groundbreaking.

An HOG with a well done story but extremely short that was originally released in 2013 pros. nice story i like the map layout even though it does not have fast travel feature shocking ending easy achievements? cons. very short. (only 1 hour and 30 minutes for the main story) no bonus story no wide screen support meh voice acting the ending was kinda rushed despite being very short i enjoyed this game and recommend it but due its price i only recommend you getting it on a sale 5/10 for the game +1 for the cards =6/10
