Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the seminal Resident Evil series -- and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 9/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
As of now, to be able to play the game (for me) I had to go in the ini file to set resolution properly as it would not display on boot up. After you set resolution you don't need to do it again (not hard, just shouldn't have to do it). While in the ini you should also add +r_skipGlare 1 so you can turn off the bad in game filter. Then you should be ready to experience this game. Now for the actual review... this game is very corky, in every possible capacity. Shinji Mikami was the creative lead for Tango (rip) and with many different elements, he made exactly what he wanted. Good or bad. I would describe this unique game as psychological horror with many waves to our mental health crisis and a foundation of all roads lead to corporate gain. On our modern hardware and ini tweaks, I have finally been able to experience this game the way it should've been played. This game was a serious mess on console release. Black bars, filter, 30fps... How did we survive? I have played and beaten this title on akumu way back on my xbox one and now after coming back, here are my thoughts as an adult. As I said, every facet of this game has some cork to it, story, gameplay, mechanics, weapons, animations, etc. It will either be endearing to you or frustrating. If an enemy is point blank in front of you and your crosshairs go over them- you'll miss if you shoot because they're too close. Sometimes stealth can feel great and satisfying or you do a scooby doo chase for five minutes to try again. Sometimes when you feel like the story is getting somewhere there's another curveball to comprehend. The first chapter you experience infected people, that area and beyond the bridge is just basically res 4 village (not complaining, just something I noticed). The upgrade system can feel tedious but also you genuinely feel like an edge was gained when hitting certain milestones. The characters could be better but give enough to make it through the game. Sebastian himself is decent enough but could've added more to certain situations. You can only do fish out of water so much. The animations and graphics aged pretty well for 12 years old. No crashes but I wouldn't tab out of this game. Solid framerate throughout. I like the suspense walking gives. I wish games paid more attention to their walking animations. Because of the premise, this game puts you in so many different places and it's a good way to keep things moving. Utilizing traps against enemies is very fun and learning the game enough to outsmart enemies feels great because then you save resources. I was pretty good on resources for the most part and had overflow sometimes (I try my best to save as much as I can). For your more normal player I think the resource scarcity is appropriate. Most of my opinions are from survival. Casual is absolutely too easy for everyone. This game locks difficulty before completing it once and I don't like that. Survival will run you about 10-12hrs. There are interesting mechanics like burning things which if you time right can kill multiple enemies at once (big dopamine rush) or get you killed for trying to save some bullets. Small things like that which makes choices for dealing with enemies more interesting than your average game. Environments, traps, guns blazing, melee, matches, bottles, crossbow (the goat), or just running can all be utilized. A lot of the time you don't even need to kill everything to actually progress. I think your arsenal is pretty well thought out and nothing felt ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or overpowered. I wish every guns ammo capacity was more strict, they can get too high in my opinion for the vibe. I like that blood looks like jelly, I really don't like the shooting arcade-y sections. I love the dramatic, every part of a shadow is umbra lighting- combined with your moody lamp (your best friend) but I hate when the story drip feeds plot and isn't very rewarding moment to moment. There's a hundred things I like and don't like. As much as I personally like this game, this is not a must play in any capacity. If you want a more niche 3rd person experience with psychological horror then definitely grab this game if its on sale under 10 bucks. I think on premise and gameplay this is a harder pill to swallow for a more normal player. Claire de Lune is a fantastic song to build safety and the nurse is a fun character to come back to again and again. I wish there were more personalities to hear from in the mental ward you utilize the whole game. I like that you do and don't feel safe there. 14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
