Bethesda did create something remarkable with this game, and it holds a special place in my heart due to the warm nostalgia I have. There is a large, beautiful world here packed with things to do. You can take the world in your own pace and spend as much or as little time exploring, and thank god are aren't locked into a 10 minute unskippable cutscene every other quest like most other fantasy games out there. However I do have 2 critiques. The world can get old. There is about 5 voice actors, so everywhere you go everyone sounds the same. There is even major lore characters who sound identical. This is excusable for 2011, however Bethesda has milked the game and failed to add back towards the immersive experience. There is no reason they could not figure out additional voice actors for the 5th release of this game. The quests are all very linear and lack choices. This isn't the worst but it would've been interesting to have a more autonomy over the events happening. There are other things that fall into this category but can be summed up as Bethesda does cut corners, and it does reflect in their final product. The second critique is the game-breaking glitches. There are forum posts about glitches from 2011 that have even been acknowledged by Bethesda yet still exists after 4 more re-releases and 15 years later. Like in the civil-war quest you can easily get stuck in a static "siege-mode" where you cannot progress the story. Not impossible to fix but EXTREMELY immersive breaking.
best game ive played. i used to have more hours and more progress on a pirated version
