This game has multiple issues and is not worth buying for new players. Firstly it has the most downtime for maintenance I have seen for any mmo game. For a paying subscriber this is a nuissance. Secondly the menus are all gobbled up in an incomprehencible mess, where finding and navigating settings or itens is a pain. Thirdly it has silly default settings enabled, which one has to correct for all characters separetaly. Otherwise it would be a nice game and has great story content and activities. But core problems like downtime render it unplayable.
I’ve put about 33 hours into The Elder Scrolls Online so far, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. The game has a huge world to explore, plenty of quests, dungeons, PvP, crafting, and different builds to try. I like that you can play at your own pace, whether you want to follow the story, level a character, run dungeons, or just explore. The combat takes a little time to get used to, but once your build starts coming together, it feels pretty rewarding. There is definitely a lot to learn, especially with skills, armor sets, add-ons, and all the different systems, but that also gives the game a lot of depth. As a newer PC player, I’ve been having a good time figuring things out and improving my character. So far, I would recommend ESO if you like MMOs, Elder Scrolls, character builds, exploration, and having a lot of content to work through.
Fresh install on a MacBook Air with M3 processor. I gave up after half a dozen crashes. I never made it past the character creation. It crashed after the account creation, several times during the intro video, and in the character creation editor. And every time I relaunched the game, I had to accept all of the legal documents again. Wasted an hour of my life. The gameplay might be good but the game (aka the executable) is not.
best game ever my addons are advanced ui and libaddonmenu get them on eso ui :)
