This game is boring and bad. I thought it would be a good fantasy game, but instead im playing walking sim. my game crashes anytime I go in a building, so I can't do the main story

The remaster looks great. Unfortunately, that's where most of the praise ends. As much as I love Oblivion, I can't recommend this remaster. OG Oblivion was one of the first games I ever played, not long after its release in 2006, so it holds a special place in my heart. Nostalgia definitely did its job here. It's the reason I bought this remaster in the first place and kept trying to make it work despite all the ♥♥♥♥ it puts you through. Bethesda barely fixed any of the original bugs and somehow released a game with even worse technical issues. The optimization is awful. The recommended system requirements are a joke (who wrote that ♥♥♥♥?). I tested the game on two different PCs, one of which was comparable to the recommended specs and the other was way more powerful. Both still struggled with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimization without a few community tweaks here and there. AMD FSR 4 helps, but even that requires manually updating the game with AMD's 3.1.4 DLL files because Bethesda hasn't updated the game in over a year to support newer software. Long story short, it feels like Bethesda simply cashed in on long-time fans who were hoping for the definitive version of a beloved classic, only to abandon the game shortly after launch. Sad. Finally, props to the community and the modders. Without them, I probably would've ditched this ♥♥♥♥ after the first few hours. Or maybe we are all wrong and Bethesda did all they could to authentically recreate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hardware-crushing launch of the OG 2006 version.
longtime skyrim player. tried og oblivion and couldnt get into it. this was such an amazing game and i really enjoyed the quirks and it was cool to see the story ive heard about so much through lore videos. def gotta come back and finish some of the guilds up. only complaint is the leveling system i still dont understand it lol but i made it work with some yt videos
big elder scrolls glazer but can't even play this game bc it's so poorly optimized. they also introduced an update that hardcoded keys preventing me from using my lefty keybinds. dont buy this slop just wait for skyblivion
A lot of people are complaining about performance but it seems fine to me I tweaked my settings a little and I averaged about 100 fps I’m not sure if they fixed it or not but it seems good to me so far
