Game worked for 20 hours. Now it just crashes to desktop. Tried different things to make it work, none successful. Don't want to have to install mods just to make a game work. Shouldn't have to tbh. If your game can't so much as launch, let alone consistently, without having to install mods, then it's a bad game. It could have the greatest content in gaming history but if it can't even run without crashing, or even just launch without crashing, then it's not a good game. So many people are reporting these issues, it's a joke that these issues still exist a year in. And for people who have gotten the game to work and it still works for them a year in, good for you, but that doesn't excuse the fact that so many people can't even launch the game or it crashes mid game. It's unacceptable. Game barely works on high end comps. If you're thinking of buying this game, just buy the original. It's far cheaper, has more soul, and won't kill your computer. Concerned about graphics? You'd be better off just downloading texture mods from nexus mods, since apparently you need mods just to run this remaster properly. At least you'd be able to consistently launch the game, and the graphics will be good without crashing your game, or in my case, my entire PC just launching it. [b] Tl;dr: [/b] Legitimately a 1/10 since it won't even load the main menu without crashing, and far too many people have been reporting these issues for far too long to give this game anything higher. Do not buy, you are being scammed considering the original exists and is far superior in every way except graphics (just go to the nexus, it's free). ----- [i] As a side note: [/i] you should be ashamed of yourselves, Bethesda. I know that this particular game was not your doing, but it's your IP, your name attached to it, and your game being "remastered." This performance nightmare does active damage to your reputation and spits on one of your greatly loved games, Oblivion. There's no way you are proud of this product, or the past 10 years, Todd. Y'all used to make beloved products that everyone enjoyed and loved, that became part of people's lives in ways many other game devs could only dream of. At least you didn't need a mod to simply LAUNCH Skyrim, and you tried to fix at least some of the issues with it. Are you all truly proud of Fallout 76, Starfield, and this? Come on Todd, you know you can do better than this.

while the game itself is very fun and i like the combat and music , the stuttering are very annoying, theyre especially bad while in the open world and even on the lowest possible settings they are bad.

Im a big Elder Scrolls fan and this is a awesome remake. This game is worth the price.

Such a wasted opportunity. In 3 hours of play, I crashed to desktop 3 times, always while changing areas. Out of 9 attempts to launch the game, only 3 succeeded. The others froze on a black screen and I needed to force quit. When moving to a new area, the loading screens often took more than 30 seconds. When moving to a new area, it often took 20-30 for the objects to render. I was so hopeful. I am so disappointed. Got a refund.

They left the game.
