Mick Carter's been drifting a while now- moving from job to job, never staying one place long. Jumping a box-car to his old home town, he witnesses a violent murder, is pursued by hi-tech soldiers, thrown in a reservoir and drowned.
And that's just the start of Mick's problems.
His consciousness ripped away, thrust back into his own body seconds before his death...
Framed for the killing he witnessed, tormented by his own past, and haunted by the feeling that something followed him back from the other side...

The Drifter is our take on a classic 2d point and click adventure, with the brake-lines cut. The focus is on fast-paced storytelling, with puzzle-solving being the glue that ties it together. Mick's a practical guy, and so puzzles are down-to-earth too, designed to be unobtrusive, and give an investigative feel.
We're keeping the pacing quick and lean, you'll never be wandering around lost or confused- Mick is propelled through the story at a good clip, from one situation to another, with barely a moment to catch his breath. One minute you'll be crafting a Molotov cocktail from a bottle of over-proof rum, the next interrogating a crooked neurosurgeon before swinging from a high-rise window by a fraying extension lead.

8bit juego tipo puzzles con una historia totalmente entretenida, cuesta un poco de trabajo y algunas veces es cansado tener que adivinar como seguir avanzando, pero creo que ese es el chiste, asi que lo recmiendo.
An excellent point and click adventure! Very compelling story, good voice acting, very reasonable and logical puzzles and great pixel art. Highly recommended. Took me about 7 hours to complete and I paid about 20 bucks CAD for it. Well worth the price for an engaging and entertaining experience.

Feels like a classic point and click game. It looks beautiful, has good music, and it has **very good** voice acting. Most (all?) of the VOs voice several characters and some really surprised me, the VO for John C. Drifter did really good. All in all it has great atmosphere. While the story is good it was a little predictable and there are ideas and concepts I wish they expanded on instead of leaving them a little undercooked. Even though the story never really "surprised" me, besides maybe one or two moments, I was very entertained throughout the entire game. The puzzles are be a bit easy but they all make sense and they never felt so easy that they come across as stupid or lazy. Some of the puzzles are very clever just not very challenging, which, most of the time I'll take over nonsense Monkey Island / Sierra type puzzle logic where you need to lob three quarters of a fish over your shoulder exactly at noon while facing eastward to make a goose appear that will scare off the demon king Gorrrg'Ontzöla to give you access to his apple tree to get a leaf for a shop guard to use as toilet paper, allowing Guybrush to ... Oh whatever... 8/10
Really enjoy the twists and turns of the story. If you like point-n-click and sci-fi, you might really enjoy this game.

This game isn't terribly long (I finished it in ~8 hours). I initially felt like it wasn't my style of game, but I stuck with it and I'm so glad I did. Expert storytelling with some really engaging moments. Absolutely worth the time.
Great story, pixel art is fantastic, puzzles are decent and logical, for point and click adventurers, its a must play.
