excellent game
A nice little diversion for a couple of hours. Point and click mystery. Search for your missing family and uncover strange happenings in a remote mansion. The story itself is fairly simple but enjoyable enough. It is very short (I completed it in full in just over 2 hours), so wait til it's on sale.
Was honestly a really nice game. It was a bit short and felt like I was rail roaded sometimes but overall I had some enjoyment with this game and it was wonderful.

I appreciate the art style and ease of use for the controls. However, for a point and click game, this is far too linear to be enticing. The font is too obnoxious to want to keep reading. The story is too boring and rushed to want to read even if the font was more legible. The "puzzles" give way too much exposition for their to be any critical thinking on the players part, making me initially believe I would not be the appropriate demographic, but when one of the opening shots contains
a hanging corpse
, it is clear good intentions were there to make a good, point and click "adult" game, but it all essentially falls flat and misses the mark.
Absolutely gorgeous art - very atmospheric and overall I genuinely enjoyed it. The puzzles were a little bit frustrating often reliant on repeated clicking, and wandering around aimlessly without any clue as to what to do. But this can be forgiven with a strong story, interesting set of characters and lovely world to explore.
I enjoyed the breezy pace this game has. You're looking for your wife and kids, and help some people out on the way, but you don't put the search on hold. The conversations are linear but I enjoyed them, they felt like (literary) conversations with appropriate responses. Neither the writing or the plot were all that complicated or interesting, but they carried me through the game. The point and click puzzles were pretty simple, although I recommend pen and paper for some of the clues.
This guy is great at telling stories. I really love the universe and atmosphere that conveys those games and this studio. (music, drawings, colors, palette, retro pixels, 80 style) (happy he could voice Neon Hearts City and Twilight Oracle which are great games) This one is ok. (needed a guide the whole time) This one was less immersive than the other games (more recent) of cosmic void, especially linked to less convicing models and drawings and also music which is the asset of those games when there is no voice overs. (excepted intro and ending) for obvious reasons. Now waiting the new game from this studio. officially played them all already...New "Midnight Saturn" incoming, seems to have all the ingredients combined from all those great games. The best is to come with this great indie studio !!!
It's an okay adventure game. The writing overall is better than "Devil's Hideout", the pixel art is slightly worse, the story will take a couple of hours to go through, and all the puzzles were solvable without a major roadblock or hints. Overall, I enjoyed playing the game, though it's nowhere near the best games of the genre. The few choices that can be made during the playthrough contribute to the immersion.
