A 1–2 hour experience
Following a series of strange incidents in the forests of Urkaitz, in the Basque Country, Gustavo, a reporter struggling with severe financial problems, decides to investigate them in the hope of finding the story that will allow him to pay off his debts. As he delves deeper into the forest, he must also confront the ghosts of his own past, only to discover that something far beyond human understanding lurks among the trees.
Solve puzzles using tools and physics to move and interact with objects throughout the environment. Explore every corner of the forest and uncover the dark secret it hides.
The story of Akelarre is inspired by Basque legends surrounding witches' sabbaths, weaving that folklore into its world and narrative. Its visual style and atmosphere are also inspired by Francisco de Goya's Black Paintings and the films of David Lynch.
