About

The Colonists is a relaxing settlement building game inspired by classic titles like The Settlers and the Anno series.
Take on a series of individual campaign missions, play randomly generated maps, compete on player-designed creations or build your colony unfettered by any constraints in the sandbox mode.
You take control of a team of self-replicating robots built to simulate human civilisation. After escaping Earth, The Colonists are now free to roam the galaxy in search of a new home and construct their dream settlement.
You'll advance through three different Ages as you build infrastructure for your colony by constructing road, boat and train transport systems.
Harvest natural resources, set up farming and food production, create expeditions to discover new lands and research new technologies.
With two separate mission tracks, The Colonists lets either you create sprawling settlements in peace or race to compete against AI colonies in military winner-takes-all scenarios.
Explore, research, manage, tweak and refine to your heart's content.
An extensive map editor and Steam Workshop support is included, so you can create, share and play custom maps.
Campaign: 14 missions split into separate peaceful and military tracks
Random Maps: Play on a near-infinite amount of procedurally generated maps
Sandbox Mode: Customize various game settings to play the game how you like
Multiplayer: Join forces with your friends to play the co-op campaign or battle against them in PvP mode
Map Editor: Create, play and share your own custom maps with your own victory conditions
Steam Workshop: Play hundreds of player-generated custom maps
Frontiers: Play and compete for the best time in a brand new map every month
Challenge Trophies: Special speed-run challenges which test the most expert colony builders
Mod Support: Play with new buildings, new resources, new research and more with Steam Workshop mod integration

"Why the hell are you importing from that distant island when you have the resources available right in front of the construction site?!" is what you will be yelling at the screen over and over again as you play this game. It's got a good idea, reminiscent of the original Settlers games. If you can ignore the time limits for the gold medals that are very frustrating for stupid reasons, you might enjoy it.
This was one of the first ever games I ever played on PC. I got it a month after it came out when I watched Blitz play this and to this day it is still one of my favorites. While its not the most popular game, Its consistent and ever since the addition of the random maps it keeps me coming back, whether its been a couple weeks or years, in good times and the hard ones, I always return to the comfort that these little robots provide. Everyone should have that type of game, and while mine isnt particularly flashy, its home.
Game seems very buggy. Goods staying in outgoing queue even though needed else where. When you add boats on top of that you are relegated to sit at x4 speed and watch the bots pickup one item at the time. Maybe the developer just made it too complicated.
the game is great but one thing i don't like is that the economic campaign is really slow and annoying. altough it is a good game so you should buy it or keep playing it.
Chill settler management game. Economic campaign is pretty slow Biggest downside is that you WILL need to use whitelists and blacklists to force the game to pull resources from sensible places. There is no other way to get around the game trying to pull stone from halfway across your colony when there's a storage yard with plenty of stone next to where it's needed. Don't bother with this game if that frustrates you.
包货入库美滋滋系列,几元还要啥自行车,何况人家还是自行车。 202512,steam,steam掉卡掉物抵扣,它处自定义包入的本体加dlc约9元。爱人如己,目前就这,看以后追评。
It's a great and relaxing game, I just wonder when we'll get actual development from the game devs as nothing much has been posted why the progress is so slow.
Loved this game when I originally played it in 2018. Stumbled upon it again in 2026, and what do I see? The game has been actively in development since! Lots of cool new features! And now I'm having a blast with this game again! And it works in Linux! I'm playing this on a bluetooth keyboard with built-in touchpad on my couch media PC. I had to rebind a few keys, since I dont use a mouse. I wish the keybindings could be a little better, like supporting SHIFT/CTRL + KEY operators, and show an actual keyboard that allows us to visualize used/available keys. Some options like camera panning is not present in the keybinding list, even though it is something your suppose to click on during tutorial, and is something you cannot do without a mouse. (But clicking skip worked). Been playing for hours in 4k (admittedly low settings) without any issues. Not a single crash thus far.
Great Game!! played it for an hour and im already addicted + the robots are verry cute
