Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Developed and published by Anamik Majumdar, The Christmas Gifts is a retro-inspired 2D platformer that delivers a lighthearted holiday adventure built around classic side-scrolling gameplay. The story follows a young boy named Kim, whose Christmas celebration takes an unfortunate turn after a group of mischievous creatures steals all of his presents. Rather than accepting defeat, Kim ventures into a series of hazardous environments to recover every missing gift before the festive spirit is completely lost. While the premise is intentionally simple, it perfectly suits the arcade-style experience the game aims to provide, allowing players to focus on exploration, platforming, and combat without unnecessary narrative distractions. The adventure spans twelve handcrafted levels that gradually introduce more difficult obstacles, enemy encounters, and environmental hazards. Progress is driven by careful exploration, as players must gather red and blue gems to unlock magical chests containing the stolen presents scattered throughout each stage. This collectible system encourages players to investigate every corner instead of simply racing toward the exit. Along the journey, Kim gains access to two different firing modes that add variety to combat and help deal with the wide range of enemies standing between him and his goal. The inclusion of three boss battles further diversifies the pacing, providing memorable encounters that test both reflexes and pattern recognition while rewarding players who learn each opponent's attack behavior. Visually, The Christmas Gifts embraces a nostalgic pixel-art style that effectively captures the warmth and charm of the holiday season. Snow-covered landscapes, festive decorations, colorful character sprites, and cheerful environmental details combine to create a consistently seasonal atmosphere. The retro presentation is reminiscent of platformers from earlier gaming generations, making it particularly appealing to players who appreciate classic aesthetics. Although the visuals are relatively modest compared to modern big-budget productions, the handcrafted nature of every environment gives the game personality. Knowing that the developer handled the programming, artwork, animation, and level design largely as a solo effort makes the final product even more impressive, reflecting a clear passion for traditional platforming games. Gameplay places a strong emphasis on precision and patience. Each stage introduces increasingly demanding jumps, cleverly positioned hazards, and enemy placements that require careful timing rather than reckless movement. Players who enjoy mastering platforming mechanics will appreciate the gradual increase in difficulty, while those unfamiliar with classic arcade design may occasionally encounter sections that require multiple attempts before success. Fortunately, the game's straightforward progression and manageable level lengths make retrying challenges feel rewarding rather than exhausting. Collecting every gift and overcoming each obstacle provides a satisfying sense of accomplishment that keeps the adventure engaging from beginning to end. One of the game's greatest strengths is its commitment to delivering exactly what it promises. Instead of overwhelming players with unnecessary mechanics or an overly complex progression system, it focuses on polished platforming fundamentals wrapped in a festive presentation. The combination of exploration, collectible hunting, action-based combat, and boss encounters creates a balanced experience that remains entertaining throughout its relatively compact campaign. Steam achievements also add replay value for completionists who enjoy fully mastering every aspect of the game and uncovering everything each level has to offer. The Christmas Gifts may not redefine the platforming genre, but it succeeds as a heartfelt indie adventure that celebrates both retro game design and the Christmas season. Its charming presentation, steadily increasing challenge, enjoyable exploration, and straightforward gameplay create an experience that feels genuine and thoughtfully crafted. Fans of classic side-scrolling platformers, especially those who appreciate holiday-themed adventures, are likely to find plenty to enjoy here. While players seeking deep storytelling or groundbreaking mechanics may find the experience relatively simple, its focused design and nostalgic appeal make it an enjoyable title that successfully captures the magic of old-school platforming. So I thought it would be fun to play a Christmas game in October because why not? It's a cute little time waster, very colorful. It has some issues. Some of the traps and dangers are a bit too sensitive, and I wasn't aware (my bad) that you have limited ammo, but whatever. I played the first two levels and you can check out my Let's Play if you want to see the game in action. You can't beat the price though, so there is that! https://youtu.be/4maAg5RTf_g
