A great puzzle game/logic puzzle. It was a great relaxing game between more action oriented games.

Loveddd this game. Very well done. Currently playing the sequel rise of the golden idol, which sadly is clunkier and not as good. Adore the style and mechanics of this game. The very end is a bit difficult and requires alot of back of forth work, but it feels necessary and ties the events of the whole story together well.
I can't believe it was only 7 hours. I spent about an hour scouring that last puzzle trying to figure out what in the world happened when all of a sudden I had eurika moment and all the dots connected together in the most unifying and satisfying way. I'm obviously trying to be vague, but those who've already played probably know what I'm talking about. Please don't spoil this game for yourself! I still have yet to play the DLCs but I can't wait to hop in

The Case of the Golden Idol is deduction done right: strictly logical, no guesswork, every conclusion earned through careful reading and understanding of context. The unassuming retro pixel art hides a surprisingly engaging story, with chapters that build on each other instead of feeling like isolated puzzles. It's not flawless. A few deductions in the final chapters rely on context that isn't clearly established, and the Redux version has minor hit-detection issues with clickable objects. Gameplay-wise I preferred the original's exploring/thinking toggle over the streamlined Redux approach, though Redux does win on visual clarity.
The full game is just like the demo, with more scenes to untangle. Nothing really difficult, you need to be observant and use simple logic to find out who did what, although a few times it's just easier to try a couple reasonable options than keep combing for the small detail. Overall, a pleasant time. The music is quite good.
因为啃的生肉所以烧脑程度直线上升!推理不会特别刁钻,而且每一章每一节的人物情节都串联起来了,很适合在向动脑子的时候晚上一整天
Great deduction game with satisfying solutions and just enough difficulty. Story keeps things interesting and the DLC offers a really good value with some new mechanics and depth.
