For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want to like this game, I really do. The art is amazing, the story is good, the voice overs are great. But the gameplay just isn't there. Recruiting armies and moving about the map takes up too much time to engage in any meaningful tactics. You just build as many of the most expensive/most powerful unit, preferably one that gets boosted by your general and you just steamroll the enemy. There is no other tactic. That's it. And it's fun for a bit to discover the different generals/heroes and the units they boost, but the battles themselves are all basically the same, so it gets stale pretty quick. And multiplayer is a mess, desync's every few turns... Get it on sale, but full price is just too much for what is here. For that money you can get warhammer total war, which is better in every aspect, expect maybe the artstyle.
Heroes of Might and magic. Without skill trees. Or loot/inventory. Or city building. Or tactics. Hero has units. Hero gets one new "card" per level, which can either be for the one building slot available in each city, the overworld army, or the auto-battle map. And... that's about it. I'm not sure I could even recommend this at $10.

It's okay. Get it for like $1 on Humble Bundle. Do not pay full price for it. It's on the cusp of being good, but the real time auto battler portion is weird, janky, and kind of broken. It suffers from two issues that were also infuriating in Total War Warhammer, which ruin the tactical element of the game almost entirely. First, similar to TW, there are instances where units simply don't take or deal damage. I think this is due to armor vs attack defeating the attack and causing no damage, but it is hard to say because there is no combat log. However, when I say "instances", I mean this happens all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. This results in combat frequently feeling very inconsistent. Watching my evil wizard blast the same unit 47 times with a ball of darkness and doing zero damage feels off. At least have some kind of feedback showing why it isn't doing damage. This also leads to a lot of fights where there is a single big enemy vs your entire army, and your army is just rubbing up against him as 90% of attacks do zero damage. At least in TW this usually makes sense in the context, Archaon can take on an army of Bretonian peastants and that makes sense. But in Songs, hero units usually die pretty easily. It's usually pretty random units that benefit from being sporadically invincible. Second, units have trouble with pathfinding and don't have any "weight" to them. Cavalry units sometimes charge through enemies and just keep walking to the edge of the map, even if there is nothing there. Units have a tendency to exclusively lock onto units sharing a "lane" with them on the grid, even if they are adjacent and there is nothing else to attack. Melee units frequently just walk straight past each other. The combination of these two things leads to a lot of instances where units just wander, or they try to attack but they all end up rubbing up against each other and not able to attack. The problem is because the auto battler portion is janky, the entire strategic element of the game kind of falls apart. You can counter build an enemy army, but then your troops wander off or magically do zero damage and end up dying anyway. I found the best strategy was to exclusively build units that appear to always do damage no matter what. "Line Attack" appears to counteract the zero damage issue against all units no matter their armor, these units generally feel like they actually work.
Not a tactical game, AT ALL. Got pulled in by beautiful graphics only to discover how shallow this game is. If it was a mobile game it would probalby be good enough. Wait, is it also mobile game? I don't know how to check.
I actually discover this game because another game called Heroes of Science and Fiction change they named because there are two games with similar naming, One is Song of Conquest and the second is this game, Song of Silence. I actually surprise how enjoyable the game is despite the Auto Battle system, the fact Units Placements and Units is super important in the game. I Greatly enjoy the Three Base Factions in the game cause each of them genuinely do play differently and require different playstyle. I love the Thousands Kingdoms the most, it resonate well for my playstyle. I recommend this game for anyone who enjoy a fun and enjoyable game. Do check out the gameplay on Youtube if you want see how the gameplay works before Purchase
Sort of like Heroes of Might and Magic, but battles are real time instead of turn based and it sort of auto battles, but you have abilities that you can play to affect the battle. buff, debuff, damage, reposition etc. The story is alright, the acting is good, the writing is good. I had a great time with the base game, haven't bought or played the DLC yet at 20 hours.
Buy it for the art
I wish I could like Songs of Silence more than I did. It certainly *looks* like a million bucks, with some good voice acting and passable, if mostly generic, music rounding off the aesthetic quality. And the setting itself is full of interesting ideas and populated with a lot of personality full characters. But....there's two flies in the ointment. Firstly, the storytelling itself is very, very "proper noun" heavy. You're bombarded with lots of keywords and terms and such without having any easy way to get real context for them, so you'll spend a good amount of time wonder what the hell "The Crusade" is actually crusading *for*, among other things. But that's fairly minor compared to the other problem, which is that the gameplay just....isn't very good. The parts of the game that *should* have depth to it-character progression, economy management, the actual combat- are pretty bare, and often revolve around a lot of spell spamming and fairly basic ideas. On the other hand, things like managing which unit is in which army is a gigantic pain, requiring a lot of shuffling and micromanagement on maps that don't have many ways to quickly get from point A to point B. The result is a game that feels like you spend a good amount of time in set-up only to just kinda throw your troops at the enemy and hope your spells and abilities can focus the less than intelligent AI enough to win a temporary victory against enemies that tend to just ram into you again and again without any interesting strategy. In other words, for a *Strategy Game*, it's very light on both *Strategy* and *Tactics*, which makes it kind of a hard sell. I don't think I would call it a bad game by any means, so take the thumbs down with a grain of salt, but it ultimately isn't a very engaging one.
7/10 would grab game on sale + artwork = story is ok - only 13 campaign levels, if you want more gotta pay more $$$$ + music + voice acting - the stealth mechanic and FULL stealth level were a mistake. the game even gives you the choice of skipping that level cause i assume its so hated - not really rewarded for building a little bit of everything, best way is to fully invest in 1 type of tower and unit. each place can only have 1 type of tower buff built at it. when you upgrade that tower to level 2 or 3 all the towers you have become that level. - cant do anything without an army leader. during most of the campaign you only have 2 so you end up spending 15 turns just to run back your gold and come back with reinforcements. someone is attacking you on the other side of the map, one of your 2 armies is the only way to stop them. lets spent 8 full turns just running back across the map for 1 fight
