Damn I loved this. A masterpiece in it's genre. It's very intense and the story is enough and it's just the right length of a game. It has enough elements to be a game and not just a series of videos you watch.

the protagonist has zero sense of urgency and is dumb as rocks, not ideal for a point-and-click game where we have to wait around for the protagonist. i'd guess at least a quarter of this game is spent waiting for the main character to walk down hallways, open doors or pick stuff up, and on close-ups of his face that add nothing to the experience. the story is really mediocre, the attempt at a plot twist is embarrassingly obvious and this one twist somehow gets two big reveals, both of which fall completely flat. failing a qte, which is very easy to do as they amount to clicking the mouse a bunch, resets the ENTIRE scene so you'll have to wait for what feels like at least two whole minutes for the main character to climb some stairs again. this fails as an interactive film and as a game, complete waste of time unfortunately. the gameplay elements are very weak and overly punishing of failure, while the story is barebones and uninteresting
