All around great experience at a great price. Cheaper than any modern COD experience, while also adding in enough customization/replayability/gameplay mechanics to feel fresh while paying homage to the roots of COD zombies. I recommend. Why not?
i think ima buy this game again they added more stuff but until i buy it its gonna stay negative
Can't scratch that Zombies itch? Grab this and sink a little time into it and reevaluate that itch later. Mines going away thanks to this game, and in a great way. PSA: One Dev, buy this game to support them. Big Update in June. If you love old school COD zombies you'll probably love this! I have definitely been enjoying the weapon skin grind only to find out they do get cooler the further you go! The prestige system makes the game feel like its worth playing in the long run. Go chop some heads off. At the time of writing this i believe the creator just finished university. Rework of the first "church" map. More skins to come. Honestly excited to see what's in store. Things i hope to see in the future: better controller support. More guns (I'm with the 5 guns guy on that review lol) More maps like the first one, by that i mean more static layout maps without modifiers like coliseum. Maybe some weapon customization besides skins, like maybe a pointed variant of spade vs square, bat with nails or broom stick, tanto style katana. Definitely a different pistol plz lol. Maybe the Mauser C92 or Luger from WW1. What about maybe an assault rifle of sorts? -Steam deck uses touchscreen for the most part to navigate menus. The optimization isn't great, but there's only one dev. On deck i struggle to get locked 30 fps in high rounds on the lowest settings. Outdoors on the deck runs better than inside. I do think this game could achieve a green check mark at some point. Playing on a 5 year old gaming laptop and its running great on high settings. Highly Recommend!
dreadfully good, this is the power of indie! a much faster paced ye olde zombies fighting, window boarding games of yore. lots of game customizers settings pretty fast movement including double jumping, sliding, and a few others i don't know the name of. 3 maps so far, with partial randomization of the furniture n stuff in the maps. a decent variety of guns. 3-4 melees 2 pistols 3 shotguns 2 smgs? 1 assault rifles? 1-2 (sniper) rifle 1-2 light machine gun 1 heavy\rotary machine gun and unlockable passive\active abilities that you can buy to make each run funner. such as temporary infinite ammo, temporary faster movement, healing, nuke the map, etc.
positive update but still thumbs down until situation improves at a base level - found out you can utilize the 32bit distribution of vkd3d-proton as the 64 bit version for whatever reason kicks an error back and run this game with way more performance and reduced temps at the cost of potentially non canon visuals. fun game with lots of customization and different strategies to be attempted for each run. also some details shift like locations of objects. just stuff i'm noticing I might not have included in my bashing or p.s. comments. theres a guide available showing the basic steps of getting vkd3d-proton up and running for the game which is of course a d3d12 to vulkan wrapper original review - on a technical level this thing is atrocious. a simple example is you cant even choose your resolution in fullscreen but you can in windowed mode. beyond that the pathfinding for zombies I assume is ROCKING my cpu keeping it around 80-90% usage and high temps. pause the game and it instantly calms down. initially I thought something was wrong or shaders were still precaching because the game doesnt run much over 30fps unless you utilize the pixelization option which is just a chunky downsample which is fine by me, 2x was playable but 3x felt better. the only 4 graphics options that would have done anything beyond that did not increase fps by an amount that mattered. you can do stuff like move your characters position in the main menu scene by going to the weapons option then if you try and go to the monk option the camera pans over to a part of the scene you have moved away from and asks you to customize your guy without seeing him but sure enough you can backup go back to weapons then walk back over to where the camera was pointing and there you are. theres a lot of that kind of stuff going on with amateur menu ui to navigate through. it's a shame because I wasn't really into it for the first couple minutes but once the regular music, radio music that I turned on and the call of dutyesque levelup chime played all over eachother I kind of understood the garish nature of this software but I simply can't run it when its absolutely abusing my hardware. I also wish there was an option to have ragdoll deaths for the enemies instead of animations. please open this up in whatever and use the profiling stuff and just look at what exactly is trying to mine bitcoin essentially in this fairly simple seeming game. both gpu and cpu are under assault. not enough options surfaced in the menu and no modern options like fsr or dlss which would help the gpu side of things but something is totally unoptimized / busted hammering the cpu nonstop when it really shouldn't reduce the updates the zombies use to path to you or something seriously it's f'd right now
This game feels like a true homage to classic COD zombies (WaW, BO1, BO2). It takes the classic formula and puts a grainy pixelated filter over the top that somehow adds to its charm and scariness. It has weapon camos that are unlocked through kills. While it takes a lot from Call of Duty, it doesn't feel like a rip-off or imitation as it comes at the formula with its own ideas and concepts. It has a wide variety of game modifiers to make each run unique and allows the player to play with whatever challenge level they like while adding an almost rogue-like aspect to the game; being that when you do a run, the money you earn from killing zombies is taken out after you die for you to spend on Blessings (perks) and Miracles (power-ups) to use in future runs. You can then prestige to re-lock all blessings and miracles, but giving you the ability to equip an additional blessing simultaneously. There's lots of achievements to get, some much harder than others, but I think all of them should be possible. If you are a fan of old COD Zombies or like zombie horde survival shooters in general, you should definitely give this game a try! Its literally cheaper than a COD DLC. :D
your game was awesome & I really like it thank you.
I wanna start with that I love WaW and BO1 Zombies the most out of all the zombies games. This scratches that itch and breaths new life into that classic concept. I will definitely be getting the boys on here to see how far we can go. UPDATE - It's a freaking blast with the boys, highly recommend.
Making the boys buy this one.
a dream come true for zombie fan, i felt the same plaisure as when a played natch der untotem for the first time, i love that church so much iam leeking love every time i play this !!!!!!!
