About

A soulful mystery awaits in Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, the enchanting and heart-warming adventure where death is just the beginning of the journey.
From the colors and the characters, to the puzzles and exploration, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is a warm and wonderful trip through a vibrant Latin American-flavored world known as Limbo, interwoven with humor, heart and just a little bit of darkness.

As Kulebra - a snake who awakens in the afterlife with no memory of their past - you are tasked with unravelling the mystery of Limbo, a strange phenomenon that keeps the residents who dwell there repeating the same day on end, all whilst piecing together your own mysterious past.

Limbo’s citizens are trapped in a moment of their lives. The sun rises and sets as they go through the same motions every day, never really understanding the monotonous cycle that they are experiencing. But Kulebra is different. They remember everything, and have the ability to advance time at will. These very special skills will be indispensable in helping Kulebra unfurl the mystery of why these souls are trapped, and how they can be freed.

A host of unforgettable spirits, entities, and characters inhabit Limbo. There are brilliant allies to aid and guide you, citizens to engage you in spirited conversations, native entities with their own feelings about the dead, and those who have deeper and darker motivations. It’s up to you to find out which is which and who is who.

Kulebra is a unique type of entity in this world, a Bright Soul. While you are counted among the dead, you are one of the few who have the unique ability to change the cycles many of the dead find themselves in. Through conversation, discovery, empathy, and some snooping around, you can mark the souls of the dead, helping them overcome what keeps them trapped, and eventually move on. You can help the Souls of Limbo create actual and lasting change.

Galla was founded by two Dominican brothers in Illinois, USA, in 2015, although we started long before moving to the USA. We decided to form this studio because we want to bring adventures and stories that spark enjoyment and leave a big impact on those who experience it, the same way past games shaped us.
Our first project was a mobile endless runner with story elements. This game helped us gain a lot of development insight and confidence as developers. We didn’t want to give up on the studio and our game, so we decided to give the characters and setting of that game a second life to transform them into something a lot closer to games we’ve loved, leading to the creation of Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo.

《Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo》是一款......
An absolute masterpiece. This was a gift from a friend, so I played it one bored afternoon on a whim........and I got so hooked that I dedicated every single free moment from then on to this experience. Everything feels really intuitive, all of the characters are so wonderful, the art direction is incredible, the story is just SO SO SO SO good. The puzzles are also intuitive so solutions feel super satisfying but not 'high' difficulty, but instead it treats you like a full adult in how it trusts you to carry along with the weight of the things that are said and the meanings behind what people say. There were multiple moments that I had to take my headphones off and just sit with whatever just happened and the moment of the story. And the game did give me a slight heart once or twice (no jumpscares, dont worry), so this game will make you feel something either way... This game being so unknown is an absolute crime, I genuinely do not know how more people havent discovered it. If you are reading this and considering giving the game a try, just take the leap into Limbo!
SUPER cool art style, very bright and fun, and a deep story-line. The characters all have their own personality and relationship with the protag, and the chapters are so thought-out and interesting. I had this game on my X-Box, and am playing it a second time via Steam. Legit my favorite game ever, so if you have a free weekend or even just a little bit of time, you can binge it or play a chapter when you have free time!!
Played through this game to completion and rather liked it! Be warned however, there are no full guides for all side quests and end game content! So to 100% this game you will need to have time and patience to trial and error while exploring everywhere. Thankfully you don't have to get EVERY single pearl in the post game to 100% achievements. Pros: - Beautiful art style(obviously) - Emotional dialogue and scenes - Challenging but fair stealth mechanics - Fun puzzles that have a lot of variety - Really good music! Cons: - Depth perception is a constant challenge about what you will run into - The day rewind mechanic can be frustrating for the more specific quests - Not all dialogue is skippable, making the above criticism even more annoying at times 😅 - Some times the multiple choice trivia puzzles can be deceptive just because 🥲 Overall a beautiful game that's a lot of fun with amazing art direction! For the on-sale price of $10, this game is a deal!
Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is an alright puzzle-adventure game with art inspired by Paper Mario and a vibe inspired by Mexican folklore, telling a story of loss and moving on through the eyes of the skeletal snake Kulebra. The developer made the strange decision of not including the full ending on the initial release, and now that's it's here I'm not sure that it was really worth the wait, but I'd still say Kulebra is a neat and cozy game to spend a few hours with.
artistically very amazing game both world wise, character designs, sound but the gameplay loop gets very boring at least for a grown ass man. this game can be compared with undertale but at least it has crazy ost and more action paced gameplay and lots of variety. with this art and creativity you better should made an animated series some kind of 2.5/5
Snowman Gaming's video brought me here, but this game is so much more than what their video review let on. This game needs to be experienced by more people! It's one of the most vibrant games I've played in a while! The characters are charming, the 2.5D paper crafts-like art style ala Paper Mario is colorful and beautiful, the music is great, the puzzles are creative but not difficult to solve, and the story goes to some surprisingly heavy and emotional places. There is a time loop mechanic but it never felt like I was under pressure like other games where time is limited. Each chapter delighted me more and more, and there are lots of collectibles to find and sidequests to do. The climax was very emotionally satisfying but the ending itself didn't quite feel like it concluded. I hear the devs are working on additional content, so that makes sense. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, and I'm looking forward to whenever this game gets updated!
It's a surprisingly mature game about dealing with loss, parenting and a combination of the two. The overall plot might not be anything special but the small stories it tells along the way are the real meat of the game and well worth experiencing.
An extremely polished game that deserves more attention. Beautiful art, environments, and music make exploring the world a joy. Solid, charming writing and characters that make up a compelling enough story to keep you engaged to the end. I really like the deeper world building that creeps in throughout the game.
