it's a great game with puzzles and things to solve.
The Book of Unwritten Tales (BOT) ist ein klassisches Point-and-Click-Adventure mit viel Humor, Parodie und einer tiefen Fantasy-Welt, vergleichbar mit Spielen wie der Monkey Island-Reihe, Deponia, Edna & Harvey (von Daedalic), Black Mirror (neuere Teile), Thimbleweed Park oder auch der Kings Quest-Serie, da es das traditionelle Adventure-Genre mit modernen Grafiken und Witz verbindet, aber auch mit dem Nachfolger The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (BOT2) und dem Spin-off The Critter Chronicles, die ähnlichen Stil und Humor pflegen.
I had a super fun time playing The Book of Unwritten Tales. The humour and charm carried the whole experience for me. The dialogues were often very entertaining, but sometimes a bit lengthy. I caught myself skipping through parts of them — which then led to me not fully understanding what my actual task was. I had to go back and click through the conversations again to catch the details. A small quest log or quest book would have been really helpful (maybe that’s something added in the later games — I haven’t played them yet). The riddles were fun and not overly difficult, which made the gameplay feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than frustrating. It’s the kind of game you can lean back and just enjoy. The characters are absolutely adorable, and the overall story was just fun to experience. The graphics and soundtrack are beautifully done, especially the attention to detail in the environments and character design. You can feel the love that went into creating this world. Overall, a charming and relaxing adventure that I enjoyed playing.
Good Secret Island Lookalike
TBOUT is a nice point and click game, with not so difficult puzzles and a fun story full of jokes and references. For those who played Secret of The Monkey Island, this is basically that game but in a medieval fantasy world. The music is good, the graphics are ok and the characters are captivating, all in all, fun game to play on a sunday morning. Worth a buy if you like this genre of games. 7/10 would get a nicer grade if it was a little bit shorter.
Wunderbar komisch und gleichzeitig süß. Schade, dass sich die Herausgeber weigern einen dritten Teil herauszubringen...
Excellent jeux pointer et cliquer avec une histoire fantastique remplit d'humour.
Wonderful!
Coming from the classics of the genre, I’ve been incredibly surprised. The Book of Unwritten Tales has absolutely nothing to envy the 'sacred cows' of graphic adventures. It features charismatic characters, an impeccable art style, and a story full of twists that keep you hooked. If you enjoy Terry Pratchett-style fantasy humor or if you are a World of Warcraft fan, this is a must-buy. A solid 10/10 for Wilbur and company."
Tem ótimos puzzles e um certo charme. Não ficou tanto na minha memória com o passar do tempo.
