This is an exceptionally good game. Extremely well polished and very misunderstood in my opinion. This is not a game for RTS fans, necessarily, but more for fans of Age of Sigmar the tabletop game. This is a real-time version of playing the tabletop game and includes many of the same concepts (Charge, In Combat, Retreat, Control Objective, etc..). I think it's a brilliant interpretation of the AoS core rules and applying them to a real-time format. The campaign story is excellent, the presentation is fantastic, and the controls and tutorial on teaching you this unqiue game are top notch as well. Once you're done the campaign there is a Conquest mode that you can take any of the factions through so this is just a single player dream. Multiplayer is there as well if you can find someone to play with, I personally am only interested in single player for now. Ignore the haters, if you like Age of Sigmar Tabletop you will enjoy this very unique and cool game.
Yes at a deep discount, no at anything else. Graphics are excellent. Voice acting is shockingly good, especially the Orruks. Story is great. The gameplay and interface are just bad, and slow, and buggy, and slow, and cumbersome, and slow. I enjoy it when companies try new things and attempt to shake up the meta on a specific genre. This just aint it. I feel bad for anyone who bought this at anything resembling full price. I feel bad for anyone invested in the story because the game ends on a cool cliffhanger and we sure as ♥♥♥♥ aren't getting a sequel. Get it for 2 dollars somewhere, play it on the easiest setting, and move on.
So much wasted potential. I actually had fun playing the campaign and the gameplay itself, while pretty lacking and repetitive, was definitely not unsavable. If they put more work into this game, I really believe it could've been great. BUT, only 4 factions is just not enough by far. And then the only DLCs we get is more heroes for the few existing factions instead of more factions? I cannot understand this decision at all. So yeah, don't bother buying this game. They stopped working on it, even though it's still just lacking so much content and the gameplay is not refined enough at all. Really a shame.
Gameplay is very mediocre which is a shame because both Dawn of War and Warhammer Total War both have amazing gameplay! And it still irks me that Games Workshop decided to destroy Warhammer Fantasy and replace it with Age of Sigmar!
If you're looking for a good rts/tactical game, I would reconsider buying this game. 1. The attack move leaves very much to be desired, do to your units mostly ignoring the enemy there move past and they have difficulty attacking structures well using the attack move command. 2. It's a very clunky experience, do to the units movement and when they fight one another. 3. The campain is frustrating (I play it on hard), do to the enemy just swarms you with units and hides some key factors from you that isnecessary for you to continue. I bought this game on heavy discount for like 6 euros and not the 60 euros. So for 6 euros it's okay, but for 60 euros it's a scam
And I thought there was no bigger piece of garbage than Warhammer Dawn of War 3, but there is. Boring story. Unbalanced, buggy gameplay with bugs that can even be game breakers. No meaningful strategy. Empty and repetitive gameplay. As usual, overpriced garbage for next to nothing.Slow as ♥♥♥♥. Abundant and full of bugs. If I knew it was such garbage, I would never have bought it. You creators are worthless trash and I hope you go bankrupt and go to hell. .l.
I hesitated to get this because it didn't get the best reviews upon release, but I was plenty surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It does take a few missions to get into it though. If you have ever played an old RTS called Sacrifice, it reminded me of that a bit. (That was one of the best RTS's I thought). Of particular note is the story and cinematics. I usually skip both when playing other games, because the writing is so bad and I just don't care about any of the characters etc. However, for me, this game probably has the best story and cinematics of any RTS and definitely top 5 of all time for any type of game.
I really want an RTS set in Age of Sigmar but this isn't it not even close.
¡100% recomendado!
