The Barbarian and the Subterranean Caves

Visual novel game with a generic story about an adventurer who finds himself in a foreign town and eventually is enticed to hunt a monster in a cave in the outskirts of town. The overall story is very short and rushed, lasting about 10-15 minutes of reading, and there is little character development, but what is there is decently well written and hashed together. There are tons of different choices, including character attributes at the beginning of the story, and multiple endings to boot. Achievements are tied to different plot checkpoints, and given the fast paced nature of the game are rather easy and fast to get. Do not forget to save often at each decision branch. The 3D artwork is passable, not the best but it does a good enough job to convey the point. Character expressions and the lack of blood in the more violent scenes are a case in point, often being on the "so bad is good" side. There are a couple of erotic scenes that can be turned off, probably the most well set and designed in the story. The generic music chosen fits well with the game, not memorable by any means but pleasurable enough to listen to nonetheless. Overall a decent visual novel, though not one for those that are looking for long drawn out stories. In the expensive side given how short it is so I do recommend getting it on sale. 6/10

Bueno es un juego realmente corto? Entiendo que está pensado para jugarlo varias veces... no me suele gustar repetir este tipo de juegos, suelo jugarlos y me quedo con la historia que cuento... pero es realemnte corto, en 28 minutos lo he ganado? creo, no me queda claro ni el objetivo de Ragnar, ni si lo he hecho bien.... bueno termino el juego vivo y con dinero así que puedo estar satisfecho... De todas formas creo que lo voy a rejugar por ver que pasa. La musica es mediocre. La originalidad... es conan, muy influenciado por la pelicula de John Millius (protagonizada por Schwarze♥♥♥♥♥♥). Me gusta el aire oriental de la ciudad (vale esa ambientación es de los comics dibujados por Burceman), La trama es burda y un poco chorra, Me ha parecido simpatico y lo recomiendo, pero es un producto un tanto mediocre.

Um jogo simples de romance novel, lotado de finais diferentes. fiz dois deles e achei bem legal a história, meus caminhos não envolveram nada 18+ numa jogada aceitei o serviço do rei do condado para mata a criatura e livrar dos sons e desaparecimento de pessoas da comunidade. e a outra jogada era para um cara do mercado negro, tinha que mata a criatura e traze-la junto de um anel. é um game simples e bem bobo até, mas contém cartinhas steam e quando ta em baratinho em promoção é válido

[h1] Genre [/h1] Ein Choose Your Own Adventure [h1] Story [/h1] Wir spielen den Barbaren "Ragnar" und kommen gerade in einer Stadt an wo wir schnell erfahren das sich eine Bestie in einer Höhle in der nähe der Stadt aufhält und die Bewohner terrorisiert. Wir versuchen nun mehr herauszufinden um der Sache auf den Grund zu gehen [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Ein typisches Choose your own Adventure Spiel. Wir lesen uns durch die Story und treffen immer wieder Entscheidungen die, die Richtung des Spiels ändern. Die Story als ganzes ist eigentlich relativ kurz, wird aber durch die Entscheidungen länger weil man dadurch verschiedene "Fake" Endings bekommt, halt so wie man es von diesem Genre her kennt. Es gibt auch ein Unterhaltsames Würfel Spiel was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Musik ist ordentlich & passend [h1] Achievements [/h1] Es gibt insgesamt 45 Erfolge. Diese bekommt man durch verschiedene Entscheidungen die man trifft. Am besten mit Save Points arbeiten um wirklich alle Entscheidungen einmal gemacht zu haben. Es gibt aber auch einen sehr guten Guide in der Community zur Hilfe wenn man mal nicht weiter weiß [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Günstig + Gute Story + Passende Musik + Viele Entscheidungen zu treffen + Cooles Würfel Spiel + Achievements + Sammelkarten [h1] Fazit [/h1] Ein durchaus lohnenswertes kleines Choose your own Adventure Spiel. That dice game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous, unbearably rigged.

[i] The Caves call for the Balbalian! [/i] So here's the thing about this game: somehow it feels oddly good. All that funny static 3d modeled scenery and funny faces all over the screen makes you giggle, yet the well-written texts make you dig the story. For a single run, this game might be considered short. Yet, there are several story branches which lead to different routes and endings. "The Barbarian and the Subterranean Caves" game [b]has some sexual content in it, which can be turned off[/b] with checking a box at the very beginning of the game. Not in the options. [b](Note: this will make some achievement impossible to get)[/b] Nothing extraordinary if you want to know. The gameplay is just about you choosing the text lines of what to do next: to go North, to go right, to sneeze etc. There are no difficult puzzles in the game to struggle with, only choices to make. You can always save your game before you pick something. Might get lost in the caves if not paying any attention at all. Also, there's a "random pattern" tavern game, which you can quit or even avoid continuing with the story.

I learned this the hard way, streaming this game may result in a suspension on some streaming platforms, so please be aware of that. Outside of that issue, this game was a great experience as a visual novel. The story paths are short so it gives you room to replay and try out different directions for the story and explore(or get lost in) various parts of the cave. The graphics are what sold me and they did not disappoint: great character designs, excessive but fun textures everywhere, and a bright and exciting color palette. The only real disappointment was that I went into this game thinking it would be animated but unfortunately it is still image based.
