You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/biiy3ULC9V4
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This game is so lacking in content, it feels like a demo. The dev calls it a sandbox game where you swing around an urban jungle in a procedurally generated city. Where there are no objectives or missions and no hand-holding tutorials and "what you do is up to you." I think the dev forgot to mention how there is also no game here. It's really a one-trick pony game. Unfortunately, that one-trick isn't very good. Unless you're a 9 year old kid and can get entertained by watching the same TV show over and over all day, every day for a year .. then this game will probably not appeal to you for longer than 10 minutes. The graphics are subpar and so are the sounds. The grappling mechanic feels clunky. There are intermittent frame rate drops. And after you've brought down a copter, swung around the city once, and found a star ... there is really no reason to ever play this game again. You'll do all that & more in 15 minute tops. So I got this game in a VR bundle for about .50 cents USD and I don't feel cheated. However, if I had paid $4.99 USD, I would probably be very upset and asking for a refund. Rate 3.5/10. Feel like Spider-man swinging from building to building ... after a night-long, drug-fueled bender and after a bitter divorce battle with Mary Jane.

What it says on the tin, probibally not worth the price for most however as a VR dev myself its interesting reference. I played it on HTC Vive and it worked fine so HTC Vive support could totally be ticked in the features info id say. Only thing I should point out is that the vive grip buttons are ♥♥♥♥♥ so it would be cool if the hooks could be remapped to the triggers for vive users. Would feel much smoother and also the vive grip input sometimes sticks (nothing to do with the game, thats just the vive controlers for you) for some reason leaving you stuck to serfaces sometimes in this haha. I like how this actually uses your arm motion to control how you swing, in this regard the system is way better than the one used in windlands, overal physics feels too scripted and floaty to me though, I think the physics itself in windlands felt more jenuine, and personally I would enjoy being able to adjust the gravity to be stronger and arm strength lower for a more realistic expirience.
The game is broken. I'm playing on WMR and when I turn on the game, the armclaw stays idle and does not go to my hand. It will not work.
Ok this game is fun. The premise of this game is pretty fun too but can you please add atleast some more detail to your map and more objects.
Just bought and played it for about 10 or so minutes. Pretty fun, even though there are no real objectives and such. Swinging around the city like Spider-Man, taking down choppers and collecting stars is a pretty good time killer and for 5 bucks, I'd say that's a pretty good bargain. I'm excited to see where the game goes.
+Interesting concept -Climbing mechanics really suck -Sort of a Look at the wall move simulator -Too pricey to stare at a wall move 1/5 "5/5 best wall simulator ever." This game is not very good, the controls are horrible and the climbing doesn't really work well, it's really awkward climbing a building with your wrists, and equally as unrewarding to make it to the top. Basically all you do while you're climbing is stare at a wall. Also I'm fairly certain this has been abandoned by it's developer as there's been no updates in about a year, and it's Early Access. I can't recommend bad games, nor can I recommend games that'll never be finished. Interesting little game that I got in an Indiegala bundle. Though I can't really call it a "game" at this point in time, it is an interesting exploration of a potentially fun game mechanic! Excited to see where this goes. Will check up on it in a year or so to see how development is coming along, or if it becomes abandonware.
