Tacoma reminded me why I love walking simulators. The whole game takes place on a space station that has already been abandoned. When you arrive, the crew is gone and your job is to find out what happened. To do that, you watch recordings of the past events, crew's daily lives, conversations. The more recordings you watch, the more invested you become. The crew members feel like actual people. They have friendships, relationships, disagreements, inside jokes and personal problems. Some conversations are important to the story, some are just people being people. I loved the way the game tells its story. The recordings are a brilliant idea. You can walk around inside the memories, follow different characters around and listen to their conversations. If you miss something, you can simply rewind and watch it again from another perspective. It sounds like a small thing, but it made me feel less like I was watching a story and more like I was piecing it together myself. The station feels like a place where people actually lived and worked, a real home away from home. Every cabin, every message, every personal item helps build a picture of who these people were. I spent far more time exploring than I probably needed to, reading messages and looking through personal belongings just because I wanted to know more. Tacoma is short, quiet and easy to finish in a single evening. But it's one of those games that proves you don't need a huge world or dozens of hours to tell a good story. Sometimes a handful of well-written characters and a place that feels real are enough.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.13/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm a lunatic and did my first and only playthrough of Tacoma with the commentary ON. I'll explain why. So you're sent to go deal with a spaceship and learn about what transpired and go do a thing with AI. The commentary adds another layer to that because, for lack of better phrasing, the creators of the world are walking you through choices they made and stuff that happened while they were working on that game. So, as you explore the space station, you get a two for one globe trotting bonanza of what transpired and how it all came together. It's meta storytelling. teehee~ :3
Unfortunately, my experience with the game largely centers around technical issues. The button mapping for controller play was inconsistent would change sometimes seemingly at random. I tried using both an Xbox and 8bit do controller. I tooled around with the steam options. I tried on steamdeck, linux, bazzite, and windows 10. Each had their own issues. The bazzite instance ran the worst, but at least gave me the full suite of controls, I wasn't able to even rewind with the others. Googling, I found I was not alone in this issue and have never had this much of a headache with forcing mapping for any other game in recent history.
A fun little experience by the creators of Gone Home. It's short, but sweet. The environments here are quite pretty and the whole hologram rewind aspect of the gameplay is pleasant. I enjoy that there's a happy end to this story, not usually the case with these sorts of games. worth buying on sale for a nice evening in.
While I hoped there might be a little more mystery / tension for a game about a failing space station, the characters and voice acting kept me locked in, and the level design was beautifully done. The ending was also very satisfying, wrapping up the narrative nicely, especially if you read into the small pieces of lore spread throughout the different biomes. Worth checking out if you like story-driven walking sims. Curator URL My Curator Page
Linear walkathon. No gameplay. No actual investigation. No choices to make. Boring story about corporations being bad.
创意还是不错的 但是太过政治正确 三对情侣中居然就有一对南通一对女童,这就是2082年的世界吗?
Some of the best world building I have ever experienced in a game! I love the creative and unique story telling method leaving the player to piece everything together for themselves. It does an excellent job exploring very relevant themes to what we are facing constantly today in this capitalistic hell hole that is the world in 2026! Attention to detail in this game is out of this world and if you love really digging deep into a game and exploring every nook and cranny then this is for you! <3
