The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human

An atmospheric but sloppy Metroidvania with a terrible map, combined with some of the most frustrating and annoying boss battles I've ever played, with some extremely bs cheap deaths that feels lousy to restart.

I got this game on sale for 80% off and its basically a steal at that price. Its fun, challenging. cool music and pixelart.

This game kicked my ass when i was 15, I refunded it initially, but now i'm back. Apparently there's a dash in the game??? I beat every boss and legitimately never picked it up. x.x It's a very interesting experience, but one that's overall not very fun. You're supposed to feel vulnerable and small, the game reaches for that feeling by usually just lightly bumping you into one of the many instant kill obstacles. I like the idea of it all, the atmosphere in particular is what had 14 year old me so enamored. But the messy execution leaves a lot to be desired. The final boss in particular is a real snooze fest. Glad to have finally beaten it either way :)

Loneliness and isolation. The aquatic ruined world with haunting synth sounds as your companion. This game is a WHOLE vibe.

O jogo até poderia ser muito bom... Mas precisa de MUITO polimento. Não me leve a mal, a arte parece LINDÍSSIMA, e a história também. Mas eu não consigo conceber o fato de u game em pixel art, colocado para não ter partículas para deixar o desempenho melhor, trava e crasha mais doq Little Nightmares ou Enigma do Medo no meu pc. Eu simplesmente não consigo passar do primeiro boss. Primeiro pq o contraste do dano q vc da e q vc leva no começo é frustrante, mas isso não me incomoda, o que me incomoda é o fato de que o jogo simplesmente crasha no meio da luta. Se o desempenho for melhorado, eu com certeza jogarei novamente, mas por enquanto, tá meio injogável

Fun controls but kinda glitchy. I had random speedups of the gameplay and a decent amount of crashes.

Kurzes kleines Unterwasser Metroidvania. Ich habe das basisspiel in genau 4 Stunden durchgespielt mit allen Upgrades. Sehr angenehm, dass das Game mir kurz vor dem Finale ein Map-Upgrade gibt das mir alle verpassten Kisten anzeigt (Mir fehlten 2 die ich nicht von selbst fand). Bosse sind ziemlich knackig, ansonsten hat es einen starken Fokus auf Erkundung. Die wenigen Kämpfe sind zu 90% nur gegen die Bosse. Es ist mal was anderes ein Uboot zu steuern anstatt einen Charakter, der durch die Welt rennt und springt. Und da es recht kurz ist, wird es nicht langweilig. [spoiler] Der Friedliche Wächter mit abstand der härteste Boss für mich war. 80% meiner Tode waren bei ihm. Das Streu-Upgrade fühlt sich für die späteren Kämpfe fast notwendig an. Weiß nicht wie ich empfunden hätte, wenn ich einige dieser Kämpfe mit der normalen Harpune angehen hätte müssen. [/spoiler]
