If you like Celeste, this Game is worth his money. If you like precision platformer, this is worth aswell. Minor Contra: - It is not completely bugfree. In
chapter 3 and 4, with their new special mechanic
i had some wallglitches - The music is not hitting as hard, as i hoped it would. chapter 1.3 has very nice music, but thats all as far as i came. (update maybe later)
fun game :)
Good game
First impressions after clearing the game, I enjoyed this game a lot! The level design and progression were well thought out, especially when introducing new game mechanics. I thought the sound design and graphics of this game were phenomenal. The game is also very bug free, the only thing I noticed were a lot of bonking with the red Azae, but I think that is intentional and just a skill issue on my part. However, this game has a lot things that just don't stick the landing. I think the biggest thing that missed was immersion. I felt the plot points were foreshadowed so heavily that when you got to a twist, you already knew what was going to happen. Also, booting Mae to the level select when they clear a level without any explanation or changing of scene really drags the player out of the world too. Thats why I liked the level change from 6-2 to 7-1. Mae's story kinda also takes a backseat to focus on Floyal, which sucks because I wanted to learn more about our protagonist. Maybe I missed some things, but I just don't think Mae changes during the story. I think the game really also tries really hard to be Celeste. I really enjoyed chapter 4 and beyond because they really try to do their own thing and innovate. Also, about 7 hours for a game with no postgame (other than maybe finding all collectibles for a secret ending?) isn't great, but its probably longer for players newer to the platformer genre. This game has some amazing moments, but most of it is just good, not great. Still an enjoyable experience. I fear for the day Celeste modders find this game and make the hardest platforming challenges known to mankind.
Esse jogo é fantástico, é o melhor jogo de plataforma.... É difícil mas fácil de aprender..
Pretty fun game. At the beginning It reminded me a lot of Celeste, but as you progress new mechanics are added, and it ends up becoming it's own thing, and it's a good one. The mechanics are interesting, there's good challenge, the game looks pretty, the music is good, very good game overall, highly recommended if you like precision platformers.
It's just not fun. It seems that frustrating the player is the only focus of the GAME instead of actually making the game fun.
A very enjoyable platformer
TetherGeist is another strong addition to the already amazing catalogue of indie 2D platformers available. The gameplay is fun and responsive with some of the most creative mechanics in the genre which provide the game with variety and difficulty without becoming frustrating. Throughout the game you collect Red Atropas on your adventure which are hidden all over the stages. The rooms in which these collectibles are hidden have some of the most fun designs for rooms in the entire game, making use of the games already intricate mechanics in ways that you wouldn't think of on the main route. The game's overall message is one about learning to thrive under unfortunate circumstances due to disability and dealing with the feeling of being treated differently due to said disabilities. Even though the game is quite short it is still able to hammer home its main message to the player through a very well executed ending chapter. Overall, I think that anyone who is craving a new 2D platformer (Like I was when I bought this game) should definitely consider trying this game out and supporting the team behind it.
This is peak. The Gameplay is kinda slow at the start but it gets better and harder. The story is cool and a little sad at times. But still a 10/10 game.
