Terminator: Resistance

Very solid and well-crafted first-person shooter with light role-playing and stealth elements. Basically what you would expect in modern shooters. This is an example of an AA game being so well-made that it easily competes with or outclasses most AAA games. It doesn't win any innovation awards but it's just GOOD and FUN. It feels similar to the Metro series. It's a game that punches well above its weight. If you're any sort of FPS fan, or Terminator fan, you should play this. Also runs great on Proton on Linux. Tips for starting out: - If you're at least somewhat decent in FPS games and use the environment to your advantage, you can easily start on Hard difficulty - (Optional) Make HUD appear in combat. By default it's off, which maybe increases immersion but doesn't show you how many items you have. - Skills: Prioritize Fast Learner, then Backpack/Lockpicking/Hacking (somewhat evenly), then whatever you want (I went for Explosives, then Crafting, then Weapons, then Toughness). Stealth skills are the least useful, but you can sneak around without these quite a bit, thanks to your "detective mode" vision which shows enemies through walls, helping you to avoid them. On max difficulty, you probably need a couple of points in Toughness as well early on, as there are a few situations where you need to survive being shot at, and you don't endure much. - Terminators are immune to regular weapons, so you need plasma weapons. You get one fairly earily on, and a plasma sniper rifle a bit later (which is very strong). A good combo is to damage them using explosive barrels or other explosives, then finish them off with your plasma weapons. Attacking the head or other weak points causes critical hits. Sniping their head will cause them to fall over and be stunned temporarily, making the kill even easier. It is NOT necessary to get Weapon Skill 3 to use those "basic" plasma rifles, but you can use the enemy (Skynet) plasma rifles in addition to your own if you upgrade your weapons skill to at least 3. - Ammo/resources aren't really scarce, but you can play quite ammo-efficiently by using explosive barrels, hacked turrets, and sneaking around enemies not needing to be killed (though you lose out on a bit of XP in that case). - Out of the basic guns, the shotgun and the assault rifle seem to be the best. Uzi and pistol are near worthless. - To upgrade your guns, you need to mix and match Skynet chips (won't work immediately, you need to do a few missions first). Not all are compatible with each other so you should keep several in order to have more flexibility with mixing and matching. The patterns on the left and right side need to match, so if there are e.g. 3 vertical bars, then it needs to connect to 3 vertical bars at the other side as well, only then the connction between the chips will be green. - The terminator knives need to be equipped before you can use them.

Fun game and excellent music. I like that it follows the timeline of the first two movies. It inspired me to watch them again.

Лучшая игра по терминатор у за всё время, единственно что графика старая но смотрится достойно а также враги подтуповатые с короткой памятью но играть можно. Рекомендую

This game has a really good story—it's a lot of fun, and I really like it! It’s not particularly long, but it’s not too short either—when I saw the Terminator unit for the first time, it was a real “wow” moment! It was a little scary for me, but it felt really good, just like in the Terminator movie. After I finished the game, I started over right away.
