The story is OK, nothing like the original games. The controls are appalling. Waste of money.
amazing campaign, the game is worth it for the single-player alone
This game scratched an RTS itch I didn't realize I had for a long time. Pros: The units, controls, and abilities are all very straightforward. It isn't as complex as Starcraft 2, but more intricate than the old Command and Conquer games I grew up on. The worldbuilding and lore is fantastic, and I wish we saw more of it. Cons: There's a few bugs, generally not game breaking but sometimes can be a nuisance. I understand the reason for a unit cap but I wish it was higher sometimes. It would also be nice to see more variety in the units and factions, instead of just 2 base factions each with a spin-off faction. Overall, I would recommend to my friends (already have) and I now recommend to you too.
Forces Online Connection to even access Campaigns or Skirmishes, regardless of it being Single-player. This exact same behavior happens if you have Epic Online Services being blocked via hosts file or some other method. Let alone how it also installs those trash services upon first launch script without being listed by Steam as something that would happen. I have zero interest in ever buying anything again from Blackbird Interactive because of this behavior.
My first introduction to the homeworld series, I must say I was very impressed. The story was interesting and engaging, the voice acting was great and the background audios really helped build immersion. The gameplay mechanics were also very interesting. One of the best RTS games I've played in a while, highly recommend.
Just beat the campaign on Normal and it is a refreshing take on RTS. Scratched my westwood interactive command and conquer itch. Like if they turned that one mode in Halo multiplayer with the big truck into an RTS.
Couldn't pick up artifacts with Rachel and after trying to fix and deal with bugs from Homeworld Remastered I give up This company is incapable of future proofing their games
