In other Space sim sandbox game, you often feel lost...space is vast and empty, traveling is slow. Here is a different experience, F3 search in your star database, type in any planet name, or click on a random star, Go, instant light years speed travel to the start and saw its details on the top left screen is super awesome! If you turn on all the layers (on the right side toolbox), all visible stars' name right in front of your eyes, while you traveling through the stars. Plus it has a universe map (procedural generation for uncharted areas), very impressive. It's a must-have software for every earthlings when traveling through the universe. P.s. devs please add my KOI-4878.01 to the database. The Star (KOI-4878): A yellow dwarf star (specifically a G-type main-sequence star) located about 1,075 light-years away from Earth in the Draco constellation. The Planet (KOI-4878.01): Discovered by the Kepler space telescope, this is a highly Earth-like exoplanet candidate. It orbits within its star's habitable zone, making it a very promising candidate for potentially supporting life if its existence is officially confirmed. It's humanity's second home, not Mars.
Perfect education tools and play engine for my son about universe!
Bought this because me and my girl love space. It's the only realistic space simulator on the market. Actually developed by an astronomer, Vladimir Romanyuk. You kind of expect something at this level of realism and detail when it is developed by a scientist, and it does not disappoint. I was told that everything here is based on real-life astronomical data, although the universe is conceivably large and only a small percentage has been discovered by humans. Most undiscovered parts of the universe are procedurally generated, but you can turn this off and only enable what is based on real-world data. So the fun part is that not only can you observe and discover what is real, but also what could be real in theory. And I think that is what makes Space Engine fun, not only does it serve as a realistic simulative experience of the universe, but a theoretical explorative simulation of the universe. I think that it is one of the fun features of Space Engine when you are an enthusiast for space exploration. It's the exploration in discovering what is real and what can be real. For real-world data, every now and then, if you have seen the update feed, the developer does update newly discovered celestial bodies or astronomical objects into the engine, so Space Engine is regularly updated with real-world space data. Graphics are amazing, my computer temps aren't, I wouldn't say this game is demanding, but I think the visual demand of textures, and the amount of generation the simulation does, would be quite heavy on your hardware. I always wanted to buy this game. I love space, and I wanted to be an astronomer, and finally having this game to open up in my spare time is a nice moment to experience every now and then.
I "play" this when I want to obliterate my ego and realize I am nothing but scum.
NOT OKAY FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE. im autistic ya know and i know it beutiful and all but PLEASE FIX THE BUG WHERE IT DRIFTS I HATE THE DRIFT PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DONT RECOMEND PLAYING IF YOU ARE AUTISTIC AND IF THE BUG IS FIXED ILL BE HAPPY
It crashes so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times on my PC that it's not even funny. But when it works, it's amazing, beautiful, and impressive. Highly recommended.
I feel like Im gonna have a seizure when i go near a nuetron star or black hole but other then that is alright
This game is such chill and interesting at the same time. You can search the planets or stars that have been discovered in the past month its amazing i love it
