Fun homage to Warlords 2. I'm enjoying it. I wish they added a bit more like Warlords 3 for the battle system (shows units HP/STR during combat at all times). And I miss the vectoring to other cities (unless i'm just totally missing it). Just small little things I'd liked to seen improved from the Warlords. But there are some improvements.
A throwback to the DOS game Warlords II. Definitely more for nostalgia, or for fans curious of the 90s era of strategy games.
Great throwback to the turn based strategy games of my childhood. Getting better with every update.

If you like the HoMM series or Warlords (especially Warlords 3) you will feel right at home. The UI takes a while getting used to but the gameplay is addicting and the presentation is fantastic.
Awesome TBS wargame! It definitely has that good ole Warlords vibe ... Recommended, optional soundtrack to listen to while playing the Barb faction: Basil Konstatine Poledouris´ "Conan The Barbarian".
A very fun and interactive pixel exploration strategy game that takes you back in the medieval ages of vampires, undead and warlords. Managing territories, troops and exploration with the Heroes has to be the most fun part of the game. The combat is fun and the game is challenging. A must play if you are into Turn Based Strategy games.
Telestians is a spiritual successor to Warlord 2 and is a delightful and straitforward experiance. There is only war and conquest and you are not loosing time for diplomacy or city building. Although there is no campaign in the game there are rondom maps, where your heroes could do questing which is great for some variety and extra flavour :). Some negatives are that scrolling is not always responsive and that the enemies are spawning close to your cities even on larger maps, which could be very annoying. I hope that the dev will add more content to the game in the future.
Wish it was more like Warlords! but close enough!
strong vibes of Warlords 1 and 2 not the terrible RTS spinoffs (battlecries) but the OGs currently includes only one map and a custom map generator option also a warlords4 style map editor, although since this game lacks sites, and pretty much has only one tileset, it is rather bland [strike]my main gripe with the game is that the castles don't start off at continued production - the box is always unchecked upon capturing or recapturing a castle[/strike] fixed now edit: since i couldn't find a place to send them (the developers) suggestions, i'll write it here: some sort of combat log would be greatly appreciated, an option to select whether map is hidden or not by default - also optional fog of war perhaps option to buy different units into your production more artworks and make artworks visible for units too might aswell adding a bug report to it aswell... when the building is full but still produces a unit, it appears on the northwestern corner of the city - although when there is an enemy unit standing there, then the game crashes in my case my troops were standing on that particular corner of an enemy town when it produced an excess unit which the city could not hold, putting me onto an endless loading (enemy's turn) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2861913886
It's a great throwback game. If you like games such as Master of magic, or the older Heroes of might and magic games, you'll enjoy this. The game is easy to pick up and play, and there are a lot of options to customize the gameplay.
