Missing some bells and whistles from the old Warlords game. Seems a bit harder also as I think the AI cheats. Locked up on me a couple of times. Don't think it's a $25 game, maybe 10 tops 15. But I still give it a thumbs up.
This game is so good i wanna jump and play there myself. (best pixel artist ever)
Very cool old school turn based strategy game. Build your armies and take over enemy castles, while being careful to protect your territory. There's a dizzying array of unique units per faction and procedural generated maps to keep replayability high. Very cool art design and the music slaps. In-game encyclopedia is very detailed if you get lost. Developer is actively involved with the gaming community and responds to bugs and suggestions quickly. Give it a try!

Basically a Warlords remake. In development, the author is very responsive and plans to support the game with essential features into the future. -Gameplay: Warlords. Build units, stack 'em, and send 'em over. -Art: Icons are old school but very good. No need for 3D here! The Frank Frazetta style unit portraits are great and a breath of fresh air nowadays. -Includes a map editor and will include map sharing in a future update. -Random map generator is okay, hopefully will improve. -AI is challenging to play against. Easy mode is no pushover.
A very, very fun game. All the faction very different. The UI very easy to use (a huge improvement over Warlords III). The random maps are gorgeous and so immersive, incredible job done by the Dev on the random maps. This is the kind of game you can play for 15 minutes as it is easy enough to pick up from where you left off. But equally you could find yourself putting several hours into a game. The is a great tactical/strategic game for any armchair general out there.
Been playing this game for a little while now and let me just say if your into those old school turn based strategy games you will absolutely love this! The mechanics are super smooth and fun to use once you get a hang of things but they're relatively simple to learn, the game play itself is really fun and can keep you occupied for a while but you do need to keep your smart brain active so if your planning on playing this whilst your wasted then that's when you'll start to struggle lol, Overall I'd give this game a 8-9/10 bonus points for the huge nostalgia which many others will have when playing this. Looking forward to see what else the Devs have in store for this game!
Telestians is a game with a detailed world and carefully thought out factions. The nine factions, from Barbarians to Gadiantons, each have their own character and image that makes them unique in the game. The versatility and customization of *how* you make the world your own, the difficulty that world entails and how you will conquer the land leaves vast possibilities. At the end of the day, Telestians resembles a timeless classic with a mode of gameplay that never goes out of style.
If you are an old fart like me, and have ever played warlords on the amiga. this is a revived version with quests and allies and so, so much one more turn it's silly.
A throwback to the DOS game Warlords II. Definitely more for nostalgia, or for fans curious of the 90s era of strategy games.
Great throwback to the turn based strategy games of my childhood. Getting better with every update.
