IF YOU LOVE FACTORY GAMES FOR THEIR OWN SAKE, YOU WILL ENJOY THIS GAME. but you probably won't finish it. overall it's fine, but it's just generally inferior to the greats like factorio or satisfactory. the biggest problem is that late game is more or less waiting around for stuff to happen with increasingly poor performance. i have a pretty strong computer and when i approach my main factory my fps drops to sub 30, which in current year is just unacceptable. there are pretty strong merits in the early and mid game. it takes pages from subnautica in story presentation, which was well executed imo. even with problems like certain resources having absolutely crazy rates of generation and others being severely limited, i'd still recommend this game. but the performance problems really cinch it. many people are saying the studio is dead and the problems will never be fixed, which is probably true. Please punish game companies for doing this. Do not buy.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

такую ненависть к разраба в данном случае за обновления и их суть я испытывал только лет 20 тому на миссии с вертолетом кто всплакнул тот понял. не рекомендую. миссию с вертолетом я потом прошел.
Another abandoned EA title, only this one made money. I can't say for sure how many $10,000 sex dolls they bought and played with instead of working on the game, but we can assume one of them had a penis.
Another early access game where they shoved it out the door when they ran out of time, money, motivation, or some combination. It was a good concept that was fun to play with an expansive world to explore and a decent story to unravel. Then they changed everything by splitting the world into levels, introduced new bugs along with the existing ones, and abandoned the game.
I have played the game a lot without any problems but since it received the update to leave early access the game has no sound. No matter what i do i can not get the sound to work, and i am not alone, may others have the same problem. Can`t recommend because of this problem.
Yeah they ruined it and scrapped most of what this open world game was to make a badly mediocre console ready version. No reason this had to happen.
Refunded after 11 mins of playtime. Looks awful and up against other 'conveyor belt games' doesn't stand a chance. Much [MUCH] better games in this genre are available. Avoid.
Fantastic Game. Love the ability to design and build what I want for the factory. The story is very interesting and provides a good sense of mystery to the world.
Techtonica offers a fresh and captivating take on the survival crafting genre, setting itself apart through its unique combination of exploration, automation, and alien world-building. From the moment you step onto the procedurally generated planet, the game invites you to uncover the mysteries buried beneath the surface while managing resources and constructing increasingly complex machines. Unlike many survival games that focus solely on combat or base defense, Techtonica emphasizes curiosity and technological progression, making each play session a rewarding puzzle of discovery and ingenuity. At its core, Techtonica is about exploring a strange new world filled with diverse biomes, each boasting unique flora, fauna, and resources. The game’s procedural generation system ensures that every playthrough feels different, with new challenges and surprises lurking around every corner. As you traverse vibrant landscapes—from lush forests to rocky caverns—you gradually unlock blueprints for advanced technologies and machinery. This creates a compelling loop where exploration feeds into crafting, which in turn enables deeper exploration. The sense of progression is tangible, as your early makeshift tools give way to intricate automated systems capable of harvesting and processing materials autonomously. The crafting and automation systems are where Techtonica truly shines. The game offers a robust tech tree that encourages experimentation and optimization. Players can build conveyors, drills, smelters, and other machines to streamline resource collection and processing, gradually transforming a precarious survival situation into a smoothly running industrial operation. The complexity of these systems ramps up thoughtfully, preventing overwhelm while keeping veterans engaged with new challenges. The freedom to design and expand your automated setups adds a layer of creativity uncommon in traditional survival titles, making the game appealing to fans of factory builders and management sims. Visually, Techtonica adopts a clean, colorful aesthetic that balances the alien nature of the world with accessibility and charm. The environments are well-detailed and lively, with lighting and atmospheric effects that draw players into the exploration experience. The sound design complements this atmosphere perfectly, featuring ambient sounds that enhance immersion without becoming repetitive. Together, the visuals and audio create a welcoming yet mysterious tone that encourages players to lose themselves in the world’s depths. Despite its many strengths, Techtonica can feel a bit slow-paced, especially during early gameplay when resource scarcity limits your options. This deliberate pacing rewards patience and careful planning but might test the endurance of players seeking immediate thrills or constant action. Some users may also find the objectives and progression paths less clearly defined at times, which can lead to moments of uncertainty about what to pursue next. However, this sense of open-endedness also fosters a sandbox feeling, inviting players to set their own goals and experiment freely. Overall, Techtonica is a thoughtfully designed survival crafting game that offers a unique blend of exploration, automation, and progression on a beautifully alien world. Its procedural environments, deep crafting systems, and emphasis on discovery create an experience that feels both fresh and familiar. While it demands patience and a willingness to engage with its methodical gameplay loop, the payoff is a richly rewarding journey where creativity and curiosity lead the way. For players who enjoy building complex systems and unraveling new worlds, Techtonica is a standout title that deserves a close look. Rating: 6/10
Now where do i even begin... I'm glad i'm over with this game and i never have to touch it ever again. It's a great example of a really good idea executed absolutely terribly and rushed. I as host had around 20 fps in the end part of the game, my buddy had such bad lag that he couldn't help me built just about anything other than sit in the game and get the achievements for finishing it. It feels like the amount of resources u need are sometimes just a tad too high and it takes the fun out of building factories or expand too much because it just makes the fps unbearable, but then u have to wait for hours to produce all the resources to get to the next step. the sand levels are just a dumpster fire. the rates of the different floors make no sense and lvl 14 is all sorts of messed up. on my screen (host) the sand level was not going down at one point, but for my buddy it was lowering... make that make sense good riddance and good bye
