About
Tea for Sana is a game about observing your surroundings and interpreting narrative clues to solve the mysteries of the mountain. You play as Vesna, a healer who is losing her memory. You'll need to remember your recipes, cook for people in distress, and explore old ruins to heal yourself and ascend to the role of a spirit healer.
Sana, an old friend, is hiding her eyes. To find out what's troubling her, you'll need to make her favourite tea. As you seek out the right recipe and ingredients, you'll unlock new ways to restore balance between the mountain spirits and the people who live among them.
In your hands, cooking has the power to heal and shed light on a person's internal landscape. You can trigger memories of your most potent recipes by exploring the environment.
The mountain is full of plants, flowers, and herbs you can use for cooking. If you look closely, you're sure to find some less conventional ingredients.
Cook a mix of traditional Slavic dishes, drinks from distant lands, and a few strange concoctions to heal the physical and spiritual ailments of the people you meet.
As a budding spirit healer, you have a unique insight into the mischievous beings who dwell in the mountain. Spirits feed on the thoughts of living beings to shape the physical world. You'll learn how to tame them and help people whose thoughts have transformed their reality.
Over time you'll unravel a story about healing, overcoming grief, and starting over in a new land. There is darkness on the path, but stay strong. Every bit of progress brings you closer to healing yourself and helping Sana find peace.

Reviews
I have first seen the demo of the game at a game expo in Zagreb last year and have been looking forward to it since then. It really didn't disappoint. The story, the art, the music - it's all so nice and comforting. Also, the game doesn't take endless hours to complete, which I like. I got stuck not knowing what to do next once, but then somebody in the discussions recommended to have the arrow indicators always on - that helped a great deal. I'm not sure I made a good final choice or if there is a wrong choice in the first place, but I will go back to collect the remaining 5 achievements and see what happens when I choose differently.
A lovely experience that feels very polished. At the end I even found myself having to hold back tears. It's truly wonderfully written and I love this type of pixel art with a small palette.
Every New Years I buy a game with my year's Steam Trading Card earnings. This time I chose Tea for Sana. It's a really solid 2D adventure game with great tone and atmosphere. As other reviews have already pointed out, the writing is the game's strongest aspect. It adds to the mystical theme and lets your brain wonder what it all means. As far as the gameplay goes, it's a fairly simple fare of figuring out light puzzles such as where to find an item that lets you clear an obstacle to your objective. If you've played any RPGMaker adventure/horror games, you find the gameplay very familiar. In addition to that, you need to find out how to remember recipes, then find ingredients to the recipe and prepare the food or drink as instructed. It all fits well into the game's feel and while not challenging, it's all done better than many other games in this genre do it. Overall I enjoyed my experience. The game doesn't overstay its welcome and if you're a fan of more artistic type of games with good writing, I encourage you to give this one a go.
I loved every second of playing this game. The story narrative is creative and engaging. The game is also a beautiful pixel gem. I highly recommend this game to anyone curious to try.
This game was very good; lots of thoughtful and touching introspection about the nature of life and healing. The exploration and cooking mechanics were fun too.
