There are seven squads, 50+ weapons, eight large maps that give players tactical freedom, and a 64 player game mode with full AI bot support so you can experience epic battles at any time! Everything has been recreated with the same attention to detail seen in Verdun, the first entry in the WW1 Game Series.
This historical game takes place across the lakes, forests, mountains and snowy plains of the Eastern Front - it was inspired by the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914, one of the most iconic encirclement battles in history. Players will be able to master a range of authentically modelled equipment brought to the field by Russian Frontovik and Cossack squads, the renowned Latvian Riflemen, or the Roumanian infantry squad. Alternatively they can join the Central Powers to serve in an Austro-Hungarian K.u.K. unit, with the German Infanterie, or in the Bulgarian rifle section.
Tannenberg offers several game modes - including the exciting Maneuver game mode reflecting the nature of war on the Eastern Front, as 64 players battle across large maps where the objectives and battle lines are always shifting. Survive the deadly battles by working together with your four man squad and utilizing your distinctive skills. There is a wealth of historical detail including realistic WW1 weaponry, authentic uniforms, horrendous gore, and maps based on real battlefields.

The WW1 Game Series currently includes Gallipoli, Isonzo, Tannenberg and Verdun. Engage in expeditionary warfare through the Middle Eastern Front in Gallipoli, scale the mountains of the Alpine Front in Isonzo, maneuver for control of key sectors in Tannenberg on the Eastern Front or dive into the trenches along the Western Front in Verdun. These authentic WW1 shooters let players choose from a range of squads from across the war, as they fight for control of the ever-changing frontlines.
We recreate the atmosphere of the Eastern Front with the same level of accuracy as seen in all our games. Extensive research has been conducted, with uniforms recreated to the tiniest detail and weapons modelled to exact references. The maps use realistic props and terrain layouts based on locations from the hilly forests of Galicia to Polish villages subjected to scorched earth tactics and more!

This game is everything I hoped Battlefield 1 would be: immersive, engaging, and cooperative. Each weapon feels impactful, with most shots being lethal—a detail that keeps you on edge. The Eastern Front setting is incredibly atmospheric, especially in snowy environments, and the diverse range of units adds a refreshing touch to the experience. It’s unfortunate that Tannenberg hasn’t achieved the same level of success as Verdun, because, in my opinion, it’s the better game. That said, most lobbies are predominantly filled with bots, but they’re surprisingly competent. Some of their odd movements can feel refreshing in the game’s dense and foreboding environment. I love those moments when I assume I’m fighting bots, only to discover it’s actually a player—it’s a pleasant surprise that adds a subtle competitive edge. Regardless, I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Even with a minimal player base, it holds up thanks to the well-designed bots, which are challenging enough to keep things exciting. Plus, the ability to play solo makes it perfect for cooling off when you’re not in the mood for competition or just want a few relaxed yet thrilling matches.

игра классная,но онлайн очень маленький. приходится играть с ботами
Типичный продолжатель идей Вердун и скудоумия разработчиков. Оптимизация правда в игре по лучшее, но не творит чудеса, отвратительные карты, слишком большие и порой одна команда имеет другую, лично присутствовал на серверах где за 7 минут одну из команд втаптывают в грязь и совершают изнасилование на респавне, удовольствие сомнительное, но раз вы читаете это то очко у вас уже разработано. Оружие как всегда топорно и всрато анимировано, хотя и тут оно смотрится по живее, а милишка тут вообще решает, штыки, сабли, ножи, клинки да спасибо разрабам за оставленную милишку. Малое кол-во отрядов, вообще не компенсируется ни чем реально действенных пара штук - австряки и фронтовики ( кидают арту), казаки и гансы ( имеют в бег и милишку) - всё остальных нет смысла качать и потеть, вызов арты кстати привязан к рации, появились пункты пополнения боеприпасов. В принципе игра выглядит не плох, может затянуть, но к сожалению не надолго вердун более лучшее выделяется, чем танненберг ибо там и отрядов большее и оружия, и играется он тоже бодро, здесь большее беготня по точкам которые переходят из рук в руки, если в вердене это траншея, здесь огромное кол-во точек, которые порой вообще не оброняемы ибо их расположение порой ставит под удар, а стационарное вооружение порой обстреливает не те сектора, что надо. С одной стороны разрабы дали возможность игрокам выбирать, что делать на карте, но увы половина игроков не умеет в тактику и порой быстро действие на карте решает куда лучшее чем точная стрельба или тактика.
Вполне отличная игра, что бы скоротать вечер. А главное можно играть с друзьями. Спасибо за такую возможность. Осталось найти друзей

Хорошыя игра, достойна большаго чемъ сѣйчасъ имѣятъ, не жалѣю ни копѣйки потраченной. Хоть и на дѣньги эти можно было уйму холоповъ купить, или брiчку посимпатичнѣя, иль Ѣду поэкзотичнѣя на столъ поставить.

This a game, for those who are crazy about history and always dreamed of World War I games, I still remember waiting for an HL2 mod set in WWI that never saw the light of day. You can see Verdun’s evolution in this game, now machine guns are fixed in positions, because Tannenberg, like history, wasn’t as focused on trench warfare as the French front. There are no more snipers, since the game emphasizes movement. The graphics and aesthetics are perfect; I remember being inside a bunker surrounded by gas, wearing a mask, seeing silhouettes passing in front of me. I can only imagine how this must have felt for those who lived through it. As for the number of players, on SteamDB you can check the times when EU players are usually online, on average about 50 players per day, so if you organize yourself, you can play just fine. The bots are dumb but effective, quite responsive to your orders. If you like the theme, buy it.
