About

TaleSpire is a beautiful way to play pen and paper RPGs online. Bring your stories to life and embark upon campaigns together with your friends, regardless of where you are in the world.
With Talespire, the beauty and physicality of tabletop gaming meet the endless possibilities of a digital world. Here you can collaboratively build your worlds without compromising the handcrafted aesthetic of using traditional miniatures.
As a player, you can take on the mantle of multiple heroes and creatures, manage your stats, and express yourself using the growing emote system. Perform dice rolls directly on the board and interact with your environment — at least, as far as your GM will let you!
As a GM, you can dazzle and thrill your friends by building expansive maps, setting up shots, and controlling immersive soundscapes to bring all your delightful and devious designs to life.
TaleSpire is not tied to a specific game or ruleset. Whether you’re running a one-shot or a sprawling campaign, if it's on a square grid then we have your back. We are now in Early Access, so now is your chance to raise up your sword, rally your friends, and take your next adventure online with us.

Setting the stage for your story takes no time at all with Talespire, but even if you forget to prep, it can all be added in while you play. Want to destroy a wall to reveal a secret passage? Do it! Want to rain down piles of gold from the heavens? You have the power. At any moment during your adventure, you (or multiple GMs) can jump into building mode and change the world without interrupting anything else. Our persistent online boards can be created at a moment’s notice, and everything is synchronized in real-time as you dice-roll your way to glory.

It’s dangerous to go alone, but luckily we have a bunch of tools that can help, and all are as pleasing as they are useful. Beautiful dice, rulers and area markers, a range of emotes, and special modes for turn-based combat and cinematic sequences are at your disposal.
Pick from a plethora of pieces to create your scenes! The current roster stands at 280 miniatures, 2100 tiles and props, and 60 unique audio tracks. Our library is ever-expanding; we produce fresh asset packs every month.
TaleSpire boards are designed to be easily shared, whether with friends or with the wider community on sites like TalesBazaar or TalesTavern. You can copy sections of your boards (slabs) and paste them as text outside of TaleSpire. Simply paste the text back into TaleSpire to summon the slab to your hand.
Being in Early Access we still have plenty of adventures ahead of us. We have an active Discord community, which you can find in the social section, and alongside your feedback we’re looking forward to developing the game’s features. So come, journey with us a while.

НУЖНА ПОДДЕРЖКА CYBERPUNK 2020!!!!! CYBERPUNK RED ЯВЛЯЕТСЯ ПОМОЙКОЙ!
Desperdício de dinheiro, totalmente disfuncional para qualquer RPG que não seja medieval.
очень удобный, хоть и местами сырой движок

Talespire is a very good dnd program, it takes a second to get the hand of but once you do its very cool with all the stuff you can do. I cant wait to see this get more updates and stuff w can do.
Very basic but shows tremendous promise. I would like to see a cutting plane so I could take the models and do cross sections - really missing in the playing of D&D - especially if you are talking about vertical movement.
I've used this software for around 1000 hours now. As a forever DM and avid D&D player, its wonderful. There's not a single other software out there that does what Talespire can do or half as well. If you are looking to modernise your game online or in person I'd 100% recommend this. Plenty of ways to build and create worlds even down to set dressing. Use of Mini's and lighting too. Its changed the way my groups play and I couldn't think about having a session without it.
All in all, despite a constant flow of new virtual TTRPGs, Talespire remains the program of choice for me and my party and we use it weekly. This review will be written from a DM perspective. Pros: + One time purchase, and the developers add new things and fix bugs often enough. + Partnered with HeroForge so my players can make their custom tokens (though HeroForge 3D digitals are not free.) + Amazing mod community. + Ingame community library with where people can share minis and maps. + An official external website for content creators to share their amazing creations so you can use them in your game even if you lack the interest or time to build your own custom buildings. (Like me who is a parent of two small children while hosting Pathfinder and DnD via Discord and Talespire every week!) + Constant improvements. Talespire has never been perfect, but it is constantly moving in the right direction. + Fairly generous stock library that gets updated regularly with new additions! Cons: - Expensive. While it is definitely worth the money for a long-lasting campaign, a lot of new players hesitate to buy into Talespire. And having to buy tokens on top of that puts people off even further. - The builder takes *a lot* of getting used to. - Sizing is off. A lot of assets have odd sizes when compared to regular scale miniatures, and the worst part is... You cannot resize assets unless you make them into a token. - While the standard asset library is of respectable size (at least compared to market competitors...), a DM running a full length campaign *will* hit a point where it feels like you simply cannot build fresh things anymore as the variaty of what you can build is... limited within the asset library. A simple repaint tool allowing to recolor assets (like you can do in Dungeon Alchemist) would have been perfect, and an option to rescale things would have been amazing! - Token limits per map (at approximately 100 I believe was the warning I got last year), and loading time for custom tokens. My HeroForge library of a ... *ahem* rather big size (probably around 100 to 200 tokens) takes an eternity to load in. I usually start TaleSpire about 30 minutes before session to make sure they load. We have also seen a lot of cases where assets does not appear and/or doesn't load for certain players which has been a headache to deal with. - Heavy limitations on Unique Token list. This is probably one of my biggest issues at my current campaign - there are far too many unique NPCs and it is tedious having to look through my library, fix name and stats etc every time because I am out of Unique Token space. - The "Hide Volumes" is a work in progress and it could really use some refinement because as it is right now I only use it to hide entire sections (like when I have multiple different maps on the same layer.) Using it for hidden rooms and treasures is impossible. Neutral Points - The clay-doe artstyle... It might be a style of choice, or it might be engine limitations, but *everything* in TaleSpire has a clay-feeling to it. Minis imported from HeroForge lose their smooth and metallic surfaces to instead look... clunky, thick and clay-y. Light effects from tokens also translates poorly. I am personally not a fan, but it is probably up to personal preference.
This by far the best way to play DND and the community content helps get the maps looking just right
