About

TaleSpire is a beautiful way to play pen and paper RPGs online. Bring your stories to life and embark upon campaigns together with your friends, regardless of where you are in the world.
With Talespire, the beauty and physicality of tabletop gaming meet the endless possibilities of a digital world. Here you can collaboratively build your worlds without compromising the handcrafted aesthetic of using traditional miniatures.
As a player, you can take on the mantle of multiple heroes and creatures, manage your stats, and express yourself using the growing emote system. Perform dice rolls directly on the board and interact with your environment — at least, as far as your GM will let you!
As a GM, you can dazzle and thrill your friends by building expansive maps, setting up shots, and controlling immersive soundscapes to bring all your delightful and devious designs to life.
TaleSpire is not tied to a specific game or ruleset. Whether you’re running a one-shot or a sprawling campaign, if it's on a square grid then we have your back. We are now in Early Access, so now is your chance to raise up your sword, rally your friends, and take your next adventure online with us.

Setting the stage for your story takes no time at all with Talespire, but even if you forget to prep, it can all be added in while you play. Want to destroy a wall to reveal a secret passage? Do it! Want to rain down piles of gold from the heavens? You have the power. At any moment during your adventure, you (or multiple GMs) can jump into building mode and change the world without interrupting anything else. Our persistent online boards can be created at a moment’s notice, and everything is synchronized in real-time as you dice-roll your way to glory.

It’s dangerous to go alone, but luckily we have a bunch of tools that can help, and all are as pleasing as they are useful. Beautiful dice, rulers and area markers, a range of emotes, and special modes for turn-based combat and cinematic sequences are at your disposal.
Pick from a plethora of pieces to create your scenes! The current roster stands at 280 miniatures, 2100 tiles and props, and 60 unique audio tracks. Our library is ever-expanding; we produce fresh asset packs every month.
TaleSpire boards are designed to be easily shared, whether with friends or with the wider community on sites like TalesBazaar or TalesTavern. You can copy sections of your boards (slabs) and paste them as text outside of TaleSpire. Simply paste the text back into TaleSpire to summon the slab to your hand.
Being in Early Access we still have plenty of adventures ahead of us. We have an active Discord community, which you can find in the social section, and alongside your feedback we’re looking forward to developing the game’s features. So come, journey with us a while.

It's insane what you can do with a game that's supposedly still in beta. The community is awesome and has created so many assets already that you're almost certain to find what you're looking for, already built out; both for classic fantasy and futuristic / cyberpunk. (Also check out talestavern for larger asset, i.e. full maps). Strongly recommend.
i like the vastness of options for player creations available, dislike the limited options in regards to things like token customization/colors or controller support.

EN Pros * Everything is very intuitive. The tools are so straightforward that even someone who doesn't speak English at all can figure out how everything works. * You can see how far players have moved their characters, and there is a convenient distance-measuring system. You can choose different shapes such as spheres, lines, cones, and so on. * You can easily adjust the camera height as well as the height at which objects are displayed. For example, if you want to enter a building, you can hide the roof and ceilings to get a better view of the interior. * The weather, time of day, and fog are highly customizable. You can also prepare several different weather presets in advance and place them on the map whenever you need them. * There are plenty of pre-recorded ambient sounds, including nature, caves, cities, and more. There is also different music for combat, forests, and other situations. Music and ambient sounds are controlled separately, so you can mix and match them however you like. * TaleSpire has built-in mod.io integration, which makes it possible to find miniatures, plugins, and ready-made locations created by the community. Cons * Additional player slots have to be purchased separately. * The mod.io integration could be much better. If you go to the mod.io website because you don't want to search through TaleSpire's small search panel and want to get a better look at a miniature, there is currently little point in subscribing to it on the website. The miniature won't appear in TaleSpire, even if you have linked your accounts. * Searching for a specific miniature can also be frustrating. If you enter the name of the model you're looking for, the search may return a lot of unrelated models as well. This could be easily fixed by adding an exact-match search option or allowing users to search by a mod.io ID. * You won't find everything you can imagine on mod.io, so sometimes you'll have to create things yourself. You can use Blender, HeroForge, where importing your miniature into TaleSpire requires a subscription, or TitanCraft, which offers some free accessories but has most of its content behind a paywall. * You can't add your own furniture or create new tiles, and the existing ones aren't always enough to bring certain ideas to life. For example, creating a proper steampunk setting can be quite difficult. Conclusion Overall, TaleSpire is a pretty good tool and it's actively being developed. I think it mainly needs better mod.io integration and a larger variety of decorative assets, especially for settings like steampunk. I would also recommend checking out Tales Tavern, where you can find some great ready-made maps.
.
Hexagonal field would be nice to be included in a game. More variable settings for stats (including having more of them in the pull/slots around your char. figure), Visual effects and some practical changes in building system is needed. Somitemes its not convinent to work with slabs or layers (especially wirh exact tile of object)
