For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love Tales of Symphonia. It was my favorite game of all time for a long time. Even now it's still in my top 5. I wanted to like Abyss and Bersiria, but they just never really grabbed me quite as much. As of writing this, I've yet to try Phantasia, Eternia, Graces, Xillia, or Zestiria out of fear of further disappointment. It's not that they're bad games, far from it, I just felt let down in comparison. It just felt like something was missing. That is not the case here. I quite enjoy Vespiria, from what I've played of it so far. I took a break, but only because I was having some RPG burnout (Oblivion, Planescape Torment, Romancing SaGa 2, Trails in the Sky, and some others I don't remember). But out of all of those, I was enjoying Vespiria the most, and it's the one from that time of my life I find myself most wanting to revisit. At first, all the characters seemed to be a little generic by themselves, but their interactions with each other more than made up for what individual shortcomings they may have appeared to have at first glance. The writing walks a fine line between being too silly and taking itself too seriously. Fujishima and Sakuraba's art style and soundtrack are charming and listenable as ever. The combat system is neither too barebones nor too complex. Troy Baker, Sam Riegel, DC Douglas, and other well known actors' voice work in the english dub as the main characters is just as solid as one would expect from their pedigrees. The worst I can rate any aspect of the game is a B+ and that's if I'm being cynical. It's a real shame that since 2008 was such a stacked year for RPGs- Chain of Memories, Crisis Core, The World Ends With You, Wrath of the Lich King, Yakuza 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, and Persona 4, just to name the few I remember- it seems that Vespiria fell through the cracks for a lot of people. It may not be the best but it's still a solid choice from [arguably] the golden age of gaming.
I want to give this more of a "thumbs sideways", but that's not an option. Given that I got bored and couldn't convince myself to finish it after ~50 hours, I guess i'm going to go with thumbs down. The Good: - One of the smoothest console ports I've ever played. Everything just WORKS. No weird resolution problems. No alt-tab issues. No blocking bugs. They even added mouse integration and it works well too. - Quirky characters with distinct, interestingly written stories and personalities. I sorta cared about them. - Plenty of customization choices for your characters via their skill loadout. - No major weaknesses The Bad: - The game doesn't really have much weaknesses...but it also doesn't have many strengths. - The combat system is functional and decently fun but awkward. The AI is ok for a game of the time period but can also be very dumb in many moments, and the AI customization options don't all seem to work as advertised. - Some awkwardly designed mechanics. the sorceror's ring is either difficult or in some cases impossible to aim correctly. Fatal Strike is taught to you via a tutorial, but the conditions for executing it are rare at that point in the game, leading to you scratching your head about why you can't do it until you google it. - The pace of the storytelling is slooooooow. This is probably what made me eventually lose interest.
As much praise and everything as i hear online for this game, I can't recommend it do to the fact that M+K controls are so bad I cant actually do anything without having to immediately start learning how to manually cancel the animations on my attacks so i can still die to enemies. Keep away if you don't have a controller.
Initially a 2008 Xbox 360 game and my introduction to the Tales franchise. Notable for a protagonist that shirks the usual naïve, goody-two-shoes self insert innocence many JRPG main characters show. Initially stilted combat that develops as you go and caters to multiple levels of mastery. The story itself is not memorable, but the characters all are with a slight exception for Patty who was not in the original game and does feel like an added extra for the most part. 100% achievement completion requires far too long and doesn't really add to the fun - the staggering number of obtuse side quests is also excessive but does help to flesh out the world.
I love how the protagonist here has a realistic view of the world and what needs to be done.
One of the best in the genre.
I have TRIED with this game, believe me. Great combat system - but getting up to the start of the second act, everyone who isn't Yuri, Flynn, Raven, or Repede are COMPLETELY UNBEARABLE.
