Kris
Harry
Souma
Sousuke

Level up your love life while working alongside your new found co-workers to produce a hit indie game!
The Story & Gameplay
In this story you play as Alice (name changeable), a customer service rep by day and a popular web author by night. Your real dream however is to write a story-based video game. You get your chance when you meet up with childhood friend Kris, who is starting up an indie game company. You join up with the crew of talented co-founders aiming to produce your first hit game in the indie game environment, and maybe find love along the way. An indie otome about being an indie otome dev, they say write what you know :) There are four love interests to pursue. Kris, your childhood friend and the CEO and producer. The twins Souma and Sousuke, composer & programmer, and Harry Dominic Claude, the game’s artist and a major flirt. The story is told partly through texts, screen time with the team, phone calls and through a writing skill mini-game. The first hour of gameplay is the prologue and at the end after playing the mini game to determine your route, you then start that route’s story going forward. 🌶️ Spice Level - mild and I only put mild for some swearing. The relationships are pretty wholesome and based on friendship and caring. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3526280833
How the mini game works
🦋 The Writing Skills mini game involves no actual writing. You are given a theme and from a list of words that pop up you pick the most appropriate ones that fit the theme. 🦋 The first few writing skills mini games are at the end of the prologue and determines whose route you get. Each character is attached to a colored butterfly and certain words (not random) are associated with each butterfly. Words repeat and you’ll be able to get your chosen route once you learn what words mean what color. Charcters & what butterfly represents them - Cyan-Harry/Red-Kris/Black-Souma/Yellow-Sousuke 🦋 You can skip the mini-game but you’ll get an ending based on whatever points you have. 🦋 Select to follow the tutorial for your first run but BEFORE deciding save at this point to skip the prologue for future runs. 🦋 The remaining mini-games determine if you get the bad, normal or good ending. If you fail you get a bad ending. Each game accumulates points, your point score determines a good or normal ending. It is pretty hard to fail the mini game unless you're purposely trying to.
Settings & Extras
Settings & extras include; display options, skip text, reset data, text speed, audio controls (includes separate channels for the voice acting). Extras include a cg gallery, endings, music room, credits and bonus content (after you unlock the true ending first). There are plenty of save slots available and you can hide the hud for screen captures.
The Visuals & Audio
The art style is anime-style sprites with a vibrant colour palette. There are a lot of beautiful cg’s to collect (over 50) with the English voice acting fully voiced for the prologue and then partially voiced for the full game. The voice acting is top notch across the board, I really love how expressive the main character comes across. An extended job well done to all the voice actors in the novel. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3526052959 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3524997593
Overall Experience
I am really enjoying this novel. The voice acting is top notch, the cg’s are beautiful to collect and I really enjoyed how the main character is portrayed. Kind, upbeat and passionate about her interests. The writing is exceptionally well done and the story has fluidity. I also love how the male characters express emotion and vulnerabilities, not just the main character. The mini-game is a neat feature but I will be honest that control over whose route you get, as the player, is really left up to chance to start. Until you learn what words correspond to what route. I ended up enjoying all the routes I experienced but I would have liked to have more choice to pick the order. Note that it will take you quite some time to get all the endings, there are a lot to collect. Each character (after the prologue) has their own unique story so the text skip option is really only valuable in the prologue, at least until you’ve done each route once through. I am still working my way through each route (took me about 5 hours for two routes but it will vary on how fast you read) but wanted to get my review up to support the developer and give everyone a run-through of what to expect and my thoughts. 💗

Otome Lovers wishes to thank Izumi Games for providing a review copy for this game. I've been very excited for this game ever since the demo released. Unfortunately, despite the game's potentual, the pacing is off and feels very rushed in some areas. for example I was blindsided when Sasuke went from
asking to permission to court mc slowly then BAM it skips to them being Engaged?!?
This left me feeling very disappointed especially with how I relate to him a lot. I don't feel like i got my money's worth with this one. However I did enjoy the unique romance point mechanic and the different personality types with strengths and flaws. Harry's route is best out of the the three I've played so far. ( Sasuke , Souma and Harry ) It has the best pacing Considering the early route potential I'm looking forwards to see better pacing in future projects.
Pros
Great music Original minigame romance point feature Art Relatable characters personality balance Potential
Cons
unbalanced pacing plot holes
PLOT
This game is about the MC & LIs are all jobless, and Kris, MC's old friend wants to create his own gaming company after getting fired from his old job at a gaming company. After reuninting by coindence with the MC, he invited her to join him since she always wants to create her very own otome game, and she has impressive writing skill and also a part time web novel writer, while her main job is customer service at an Internet company. However, she unfortunately got fired by them.
CHARACTERS

SOUMA SHIN
The older twin brother of Sosuke Shin, he is a music composer, after the scandal from his previous job, his reputation got heavily damaged and could not find a well paid job ever since. He was heavily framed by his friend, Lucy. And now
he worked as an underground DJ, where he sees people letting loose of themselves, and all those uncomfortable things
However, it really feels like destiny since he is actually the first LI that the MC encountered, [strike] during a call at customer service [/strike] His interaction and MC is quite cute, and he is quite the tsundere.
SOUSUKE SHIN
He is a programmer, and an E sport player. My Top 1 favourite of all time, he is so cute, so sweet, I want to squeeze his ltitle cheeks, and pat his head. I really love him the most when he looks a little grumpy, and make little sound like, en, or eh, or yea. He is so precious, oh my gosh.
He got a phoebia which makes him afraid of crowds, and suffer from it becuz from young, but pretends to be fine as his father's health condition is getting worse and partly becuz of their financial situtation during that time.

He got betrayed by his new friend, Chesire, who is also a programer, but he plead Kris not to press charges on him for issuing viruses and bugs to their program.

HARRY DOMINIC CLAUDE
It is sad that
his father is not very supportive of him doing art since they are poor, and the father constantly told him that art is for the rich, when Harry is finally able to prove himself, his father was dead. So now he got no one to prove to, and not much motivation and/or inspiration anymore.
It is also very cute and funny where he is
streaming their own game that they did on they first game, he disguised himself so no one knows

KRIS SILVIAN
Honestly, playing his route, I can understand why is Alex doing what she's doing to Kris's team, and honestly, this is unforgiveable.
He is the murderer of Alex's brother, her brother and the MC are both interested in writing and both entered the high school writing competition. When the results are out, Alex's brother came in first place while the MC is the second place, but since MC mentioned about giving up her dreams if she did not got first place, she will give up her dreams of becoming a writer. Therefore, he rigged the competition, and made MC first place and Alex's brother second. When Alex's brother came to confront about why he never got first spot, what he did wrong in his writing, Kris brushed it off, telling him that the judges just don't like his way of writing and is too dark. However, little did he know that Alex's brother got depression, so winning this writing competition is his little breaming of hope, so he commited suicide after hearing Kris's comment, telling himself even doing this is not suitable for him.
What made me angrier is that, in his normal ending,
he apologized, but NOT TO ALEX or visit her brother's grave, he apologized to the MC. And the MC's option is only ( OK & I FORGIVE YOU) ???
This is unacceptable
ART
It is ok, even though I sometimes don't like the way Kris looks becuz it looks a bit weird to me, but it is still acceptable. Even though that the CGs is very different from how they normally look like, it is still ok. But I love Kris the most in the CGs, he is the best looking in the CGs.
OVERALL OPINION
It is ok, a 6/10. The other marks were deducted as the story seems a little cut off: During Souma's route:
After they won the first contest, they are entering a game fest, and they will be creating a new game, however, their nemesis, Alexis company, stole their idea, not really consider as stole, but they created a similar concept. And, thid is after the MC's note book filled with the team's idea was lost, and she suspect that the leader of Alexis stole it. However, MC's team decided to continue with their original idea. A few days later, bla bla bla, Souma's reputation was gained back, and MC's team managed to get a publisher to publish their game. And MC and Souma got together but that's it. No more story from Alexis, and Lucy's karma.
During the rest other's route:
The MC's otome game idea got stolen
Like what happens after that??
LASTLY
Beware that this otome game is a little different from normal otome games. The choices where it will affect the MC to be with certain LI is when the MC is creating her gaming ideas. for example: gaming concept: romance they will give you a bunch of words

trust - leads to LI 1
loyalty - leads to LI 2
smthg like that After your LI was specified, it's all the fluffs and romance, nothing much then, it's more like a click click click story. But I still recommend it, since the plot is still good too, and it really hypes me up. However, there are different endings, but to trigger certain endings, it will comes to the same way, when MC is creating the gaming idea... EDIT: Thanks for the reply dev, yes, I did suspect that, so I will come back and change my review when I read there >///< FINAL EDIT: In Alexis route
Kris did apologized to her after confronting her at the game fest. She forgave him for what he had done and move on.
Final rating: 6.2/10
The game wasn't good. Pacing issues and art inconsistencies.
overall it's a great game with fantastic art and the characters all have their own unique and interesting stories. the writing gameplay reminded me of DDLC where you select words that match certain characters. the voice acting was well done and the prologue drew me in and made me want to see the game till the end. however, some routes felt a bit short and perhaps rushed which is understandable given that there's only one developer and a small team. i would have loved it a lot more if some of the routes were a bit longer.
I don't write reviews very often but this game totally deserves to be more well-known. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind if the routes were longer - it felt as if some of them were a little rushed - but overall it was a really good experience. And I liked that the developer wasn't afraid to dive into some darker themes; thanks to that, the characters gained a lot of depth and I felt compelled to finish all the endings. I hope we can expect some more otome games from this developer in the future!
Why no body review that ????????????????????? i mean no opnions about he products?? as indie game this is epicccccccccc i just started but i like the vibe about game is comfy and fun so far!
The art was so well done it matched the scenes perfectly. All of the routes were so fun and wholesome voice acting was done well I 100% this game in two days because I was having so much fun with I didn't want to stop lol Kris's bad endings were the only I didn't like but I don't like horror or yandere themes so that was all I had a problem with but it mostly likely just personal preference so take that with a grain of salt if you will overall great cute short game I love it so much!
Underwhelming
I will try to avoid spoilers. I played the demo when it became available and I've enjoyed it a lot, so I decided to get this game to see the end of the story. The demo is absolutely amazing: full voiced (not that it's important), great graphic and a good pace. But the rest of the game is underwhelming, to say the least. 1) the graphic is extremely inconsistent. Backgrounds are generally ok, some even very good, and some just average, but they do their job. But the characters… Said that you will never seen anyone else other than the love interests the antagonists and 3 more characters, but the quality of the arts drops dramatically. The game keeps using the same pictures of the demo when the characters speak, but every other pics (like the supposed eye-candy) are very low quality, with a style that reminds me of MS Paints at its worst. 2) you have like… 6 choices in the whole run? Something I really wish otome devs will understand: if the only thing I can do in a game is clicking a choice, give me TONS of choice. If I wanted to read a book, I would have bought a book, right? Some of those choices are simply ridiculous, like "why did you cut off contact with me?" / "why did you not reach out?". They are literally the same question, with the exact same meaning. But apparently, one is supposed to be correct for no apparent reason. So you can't even try to use psychology or good choice-making skill, it's just a matter of luck. In another you have to pick an option out of 3 of what happened to you in the past that scared you the most. And again, you can pick the correct one only by pure luck. Add to this that not everyone is native speaker and so nuances of meaning are difficult to get, and you have a great recipe for just random attempts in reaching a good ending, instead of exploring game possibilities. Summarizing: you can't play your character, you have to play Devs'. And if you don't randomly know what's in their mind, too bad for you. 3) nothing will happen of "romantic". You will get a line of "he hugs you" or "he kisses you" and end of the deal. I've played only two routes because the game was just too boring and in the second you literally see NOTHING happening. The route ends with the LI asking your character for a date. "3 years later". Wow. Since the game is just a "read here", at least the writing should be good. "Show, don't tell" seems to mean nothing. 4) the word game. In the story, the protagonist is obsessed with writing her own otome game and she says she has created a new, amazing, game mechanic. I really hope it's not the one we actually see in this game. Random words appear on the page and you have to click on those that relate to the theme they give you, or those unrelated to it. Like, if the theme is "horror", you have to pick "nightmare" when related and "jellyfish" when unrelated. Probably a challenge for kindergarten students. I missed one once just because, while clicking, the page refreshed. And I am not a native English speaker. It's just a waste of time for when you are skipping the parts to see different outcomes. 5) funny thing: I've searched for a walk-through, to see what I did wrong. And… they suggest you the order of LI you shall pick to not spoil the narrative ahead of time. Again, another proof this game expects you not to play as you like, but as they like. 6) fun fact: it seems some lines have been recorded by a voice actor different than the demo one. No idea if it's a different person, or just a different sound effect applied to it, or maybe a bug, but still, the effect is annoying. 7) the run is also quite short. I didn't have fun at all. The whole romance is not there and the game didn't manage to convey any emotion to me, other than some frustration due to the word game while trying to pick different choices in the re-run. I gave up after 3 routes. Even if I got it on sale, I consider those wasted money.
