Very good. might be janky in some aspects and there is some slightly floating objects like rocks and such but not everywhere. It basically plays like TES4 and 5, if you like those. also looks beautiful. The water is terrifying. 8/10
I’ve been waiting almost twenty years for a game to give me that feeling I had the first time I stepped out of the sewers in Oblivion. I’ve played through many. Skyrim, Dragon Age, Dragon’s Dogma, Kingdom Come, you name it. Tainted Grail is looking to be the first game in a long time that made me stop chasing Oblivion and appreciate what was right in front of me. This is might not Elder Scrolls, but it doesn’t need to be. The world is grim, mysterious, and constantly pulling me off the main path. Combat has weight. Loot feels worth finding. You can lose track of time with this game because you become so immersed in the world’s intrigue. The atmosphere is the real star. The music never overstays its welcome either. The visuals know exactly what they need to be. Nothing ground breaking. Instead…just right. When night falls, the world changes, and somehow the rabbit hole gets even deeper. Things get… “wyrd”. You’ll get it… The game is fun and I look forward to seeing how it opens up. I hope it sticks the landing. It’s at a great price too. Feels like a sleeper hit and one to be experienced.
