Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This is a massive downgrade from Alicization Lycoris. I own most of the SAO RPGs and while most of them are pretty similar, Alicization lycoris felt like they took a huge step forward. It's follow up game was more linear and felt like it went a bit backwards, but was still decent. Now we reach this Fractured Daydream and it's lost all the charms of previous games. You no longer feel like you are experiencing the SAO world like previous games. You drop in dungeons or raid bosses with other players which is unique to this game in the series. The only issue? It's insanely repetitive. Prior to Alicization Lycoris the maps were pretty small and linear but working through each one and its few side quests felt fulfilling. You advanced a silly side story that added silly new quirky side characters. It was fun! This game is not fun. It's boring, you spend hundreds of hours replaying the same 3 dungeon layouts and fight the same 3 raid bosses. Even worse they gate most of the raid bosses behind account level. You need like account level 80 to fight the last 2 unique raid bosses. This means you will be stuck farming the other two early raid bosses several dozens of times to level up your account. Progression is relatively weak too. You no longer play your own character and build it how you like, which has been a staple of the series. Now you need to level individual characters which are locked to a single weapon type. Each mission or boss is it's own encounter starting you at level 1. Meta progression in the form of weapon and accessory upgrades are very underwhelming. Besides main stat on gear they have additional bonuses except 95% of them are lack luster or useless and even the better ones barely add any noticeable bonus. Considering all these awful issues with the game the developers have the gall to release $20 character packages that add basically nothing to the game. It's a bloody joke. I hope this game did abysmal so they learn their lesson.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR - Don't waste your money on this game. If you REALLY want to try it buy it on sale other wise don't waste your money. Also make sure you check out the multiplayer modes before the steam refund period is up because that is where majority of the content is and the story mode alone is not worth getting the game for. This game had a lot of potential, but it really fell short. The devs have not added any truly new content to the game since launch. It is all re-colors and re-skins for outfits, weapons, stages enemies and bosses.
UPDATE
They added one completely new boss. It is a nightmare of constant AOE attacks and everything is a resist spot except for the Weak Points that are actually constantly changing position. The wait times for quests and raids in this game run the gambit. If you are on at a high traffic time which is usually when the Asian players are on then you will be getting in to your raid or quest in a reasonable time. Though if you are playing any other time than peak hours you could be stuck in queue for a long time. The longest I have been in a queue and still never got in was 30 minutes. The game play its self can be fun, but is very repetitive after a while. The game is most fun when playing with friends in a voice chat from my experience. There are still several glaring issues though: 1. There are to many tiers of Quests and Raids which makes it much a harder then it already is to find a people that are doing what you want to. This game has seasons. Every season lasts 3 months and at the start of each season there is a level cap increase and new tier of difficulty added. Further exacerbating the issue. 2. When the max level goes up so does the max level of obtainable equipment. Thus you need to either use the VERY rare rank up item to boost your equipment level or rebuild your equipment again with the hard to get effects that you need to collect. Either way you still need to get a drop of Epic or Legendary equipment that is for the class or character you are trying to build. The drop rates for these are ABYSMAL and there is NO GUARANTEE if you do get a drop its is for you characters class or that specific character. 3. They have added a new piece of equipment that can only be crafted once you have enough of its specific currency. Then if the effects on it are not to your liking you have to spend more currency to get a randomly generated new effect. Thank fully you can do this separately for each effect. When I tried out this new addition to the game it took for ever to get one with One effect I wanted and still could not get any other effects I wanted on it. 4. The fastest way to get any where in the game is the spam dodge button. If you don't you will be left behind ALL the other players. 5. There are meta characters in this game you will find almost no mater what you do if there is someone playing a meta character you will not beat them on the damage board at the end of a run. Additionally every character has a best way to play them and it really feels like some of those ways were NEVER intended to be a thing. Some are just so ridiculous its not even funny and to make matters worse the devs have not tried to re-balance anything. The EX raids the Highest level of content in the game are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. They rely on well timed dodges or blocks and high damage out out. If you don't have the damage output you will run out of time and fail if you can't block or dodge attacks most will one shot you. there is also a 3 down limit after that you are fail the EX Raid. Additionally if no one revives you with in 12 seconds when you are downed you get fail. To top it all off they keep adding random crap to the stages that you need to worry about because that ♥♥♥♥ also has a chance to kill you. To top it all off unless you are in Asia your going to experience terrible latency at times that will KILL your experience with the game. That is because the devs consolidated all the servers to the Asian one as so few others played on the NA and EU servers when they were around. I still play on occasion, if I feel like it, if a friend or two is playing, but by and large I don't touch the game anymore. Its not worth the headache or the frustration it can cause me.
bought this to play with my wife, turned out she was lesbian
I'll start off by saying I do enjoy this game however, it's not one I'd recommend. I wish I didn't feel this way but this game just has one major issue and that's the lack of online players. For a game with a live-service/battle pass setup it's incredibly hindered by the lack of an active multiplayer community. Honestly its sad given that it just came out in October and there's less than a couple hundred players on any given day. Wait times for online raids or co-op quests are very long and at best you'll only match with a handful of players, not once have I been in a game with more than 7. The battle pass is very grindy and is actually hard to complete because to do the challenges you have to be in multiplayer quests, so sometimes when you want to do anything you're stuck in that queue for a good 5 minutes. It would be nice if they would allow you to play quests without anyone else in the queue so you can actually grind out challenges. Typical for modern games now (unfortunately) there's the good ole lackluster micro-transaction store because paying $80 for a game isn't enough anymore. I would have preferred literally anything else but oh well. At least the items in there are cosmetic. As expected for a game from DIMPS the combat is very fun and the effects just wash out the screen sometimes. The story although repetitive at times, is interesting and enjoyable. Although sometimes the dialog scenes can drag at times, though that's almost the standard for this series. The maps are nicely detailed and have the best graphics/textures compared to the previous games. Where bugs are concerned I haven't ran into that many aside from monsters sometimes spawning inside a wall where you cant kill them, sometimes causing doors not to open. Though leaving the area then returning fixed this most of the time. I guess the best word I can describe this game with is disappointment. I expected a lot more from DIMPS, especially coming from titles like DB Xenoverse 2 and Fatal Bullet. Two games I've put at least 600 hundred hours into each over on Xbox. I am going to keep playing this game as for what it's worth it is fun, there are still planned DLC to be released so I'm hopeful that more people will play around the time those release. If you are a fan of the series you will likely enjoy this game, in any case you can play on the Asia servers instead of the NA ones, there are more players there compared to NA.
It ded lol
At the time of making this review, the game is in a dead state, with barley 450 players at peak, so if your a newcomers, your gonna be 90% in lobbies full with bots and reaching the max rank (130 at the moment) is gonna be a tedious and frustrating experience, and that if your playing in the Asia server, so your gonna have "fun" with ping issues because NA and Europe server are non-existent Don't bother buying the Premium or Deluxe edition, there not worth that money and your not getting all the content, since character pack vol.2 is a separate purchase, with a lacking artbook and a incomplete Soundtrack album, and giving you with a mediocre 128kp/s audio quality and a mini game that is fine at best The game itself is decent in a normal basis, but your definitely gonna be burned if your playing for hours. The story is ok for SAO game standers and the DLC stories are a nice addition and there enough content for like a week, but the problem is after reaching rank 130, there nothing else to do. No ranking No leaderboards No Guild system Just doing the same over and over for legendary drops. The game definitely not worth 60$ for this little content that offers, and idk if I should recommend it later or not, since probably it gonna in a worse state then the time I'm making this review. If your a normal player, this is definitely a skip If your a SAO fan, think about it if you decide to buy it or not Update: The game is beyond dead, with barley 100 player at peak if your lucky and it appears that no new content will be added like...ever (No, ex boss and extra tier is NOT extra content) So at the end, don't waste your time in this game and go find something better
Bought the premium edition cuz i played the beta, game seemed cool, today i think my money was better spent on an illegal casino that has 0% chance of winning, the people who give it a positive review are blind and are just big sao fans, the game doesnt even let you enjoy the game with the playstyles you want because you need to play classes you dont want to for weeklies, and weeklies are VERY grindy btw, someone who can get not that many hours in gaming because of personal life cannot have three weeklies done, game promised two tickets for each battlepass btw, but rn it only gives one, the gameplay is a disaster too, characters arent balanced, gameplay is very clunky, dont even get me talking about gears or elements, its REALLY bad, story isnt good overall, it is literally "welp, we're walking around and found people, oh well bad villain appeared, lets beat it", i spent 20 bucks on a niche car game called trackmania and have almost 300 hours on it, i dont ask much for a game, but this game cant give the basics, its worth 10 bucks at most, and the servers besides asia are dead, and asia can be dead at certain times too, and the character roster is the most unbalanced thing ive seen, just dont get the game.
When I log in to a game I've paid money for to find seven different currencies a mobile game menu, with a battle pass and cash shop ... nah I'm good. This was legit meant to be a free to play game at some point.
