• Single-Player Mode

A one-player experience featuring an original story.
Characters from across time and space, each with their own destiny, gather to confront the anomaly in the VR world.
• Online-Only Modes
- Boss raid
An online-exclusive mode where up to 20 players in five parties of four players each challenge a gigantic boss.
This mode heralds the return of powerful bosses that once stood against Kirito and his friends.
Join players from around the world to overcome these life-or-death battles.
- Co-Op Quest
An online-exclusive mode to challenge up to 20 players in five parties of four-players each.
The five parties start separated but gradually unite with one another as the quest progresses.
In the last area of the map, a final showdown against the boss awaits, requiring the combined efforts of all participants.
*If the number of participants is insufficient for Boss Raid or Co-Op Quest, NPCs will be added until the total reaches 20.
- Free Roam
An online-exclusive mode where players can freely explore a vast map filled with powerful bosses and treasure chests.
Up to 20 players can participate in one map, allowing for one-time adventures with randomly selected players.
*Online-exclusive modes can be played solo through matchmaking.
