Sunset Overdrive

Its nothing groundbreaking or innovative by any means, not even for its time. I played it a ton back at release on xbox and loved it, still do even. its a bright, colorful unserious quirky game to just kick back and blow off some steam with, yes some of the humor is very much dated now but i rather like that, it almost feels nostalgic to this 30 something year old guy squeaking some gaming in between the endless work and adulting grind. I never got the chance the play the DLCs, so to have it on pc now since i havent owned an xbox in years is a treat, it looks and runs better which for me has made it feel like a whole new game. crisp, smooth at 4k 120fps, a refinement i never thought i would see not to mention M&KB controls, it always felt like a M&KB game. I do keep getting a "your save corrupted" error every time i boot it up, even on first boot, but my saves have remain perfectly intacted regardless. The price is also a win. especially if you snag it on sale, i grabbed it for all of $6 CAD and thats MORE than worth it, i woulda paid full price to for that matter. theres a good hour per dollar or better in this game at full price depending on the kinda gamer you are which to me and many i know is well worth the cost of entry. I fully recommend this game for some quirky, unserious, colorful fun it REALLY pops with RTX HDR enabled to! Just dont expect some deep story, its all about the gameplay here, being such a generic "corpo screwed up, corpo bad now stick it to em while you try and survive" kinda deal.
