ℂ𝕒𝕟'𝕥 𝕤𝕙𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀'𝕧𝕖 𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕓𝕖𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕖... 𝔸𝕙, 𝕊𝕦𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕞𝕖 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣?!
Sudden Strike 3 reminds me more of Supreme Commander than of Sudden Strike. Let me elaborate: While you still control basically all those war tanks and howitzers and stuff, you can now zoom way out of the battlefield... I'd go as far as to actually dub this game the 4X Strategy Game of the Sudden Strike line of gaming? Lmfao Sudden Strike 3 sadly is still from the 2000s... Which means that looking at its graphics will probably induce a feeling of nausea. This one, unlike the previous entry, has a great campaign which is a literal waltz through history. I know I'd still come back to it every now and again to micromanage these soldiers and call up more as they perish for glory. 7/10 Sudden Strike game that actually improves on the second game and it's a great labour of love.
It's one of those classic WWII RTS games, that keep you coming back to rain some arty on your enemies
Brilliant, re living my childhood with this game, truly an epic RTS game with a huge scale. shows its age nowadays but is still a ton of fun to play and a great throwback, and works fine on my computer with windows 10 so dont know why people are having issues. Highly recommended!

Migliorato graficamente rispetto ai precedenti e sempre fedele alla realtà..
best sudden strike game yet
Sudden Strike 3 is an ambitious evolution of the classic tactical RTS formula that defined the earlier entries in the series. Developed by Fireglow and published by Kalypso Media Digital, the game represents a major turning point for the franchise by moving from 2D isometric battlefields into fully 3D environments, while still preserving the series’ defining focus on realism, large-scale engagements, and pure battlefield command without traditional base building or resource management. Set during World War II, the game places players in command of military forces across multiple theaters of war, including European, Pacific, and Eastern Front conflicts. Instead of starting with construction units or economic systems, missions drop you directly into active combat scenarios with a fixed roster of units and objectives. This design choice immediately emphasizes tactical thinking over long-term macro strategy, forcing you to carefully assess terrain, unit composition, and enemy positioning before committing to any major action. Every loss matters, and careless decisions can cripple your ability to complete objectives later in a mission. The shift to 3D environments fundamentally changes how battles unfold. Terrain elevation, line of sight, and cover play a much more pronounced role than in earlier entries, making positioning and movement critical to success. Hills provide visibility advantages, forests conceal infantry and ambushes, urban areas favor close-quarters fighting, and waterways introduce naval considerations in certain scenarios. Destructible elements such as buildings and bridges further reinforce the sense that the battlefield is a living space that reacts to prolonged conflict rather than a static map. Unit variety is one of the game’s strongest features. With hundreds of historically inspired units available across different factions, the battlefield becomes a complex ecosystem of interdependent forces. Tanks are devastating in open terrain but vulnerable to infantry ambushes and artillery. Infantry excels in defensive positions and urban combat but struggles against armor without support. Artillery and air units act as powerful force multipliers, capable of reshaping engagements when used carefully, but they demand protection and precise timing. Victory comes not from overwhelming numbers, but from understanding how these elements work together under pressure. Missions in Sudden Strike 3 are often sprawling and lengthy, sometimes unfolding over several hours. Objectives are rarely simple, frequently involving multi-stage operations such as securing key positions, defending supply routes, or coordinating land and naval assaults. This scale gives the game a sense of authenticity and weight, making each campaign feel like a genuine military operation rather than a series of isolated skirmishes. However, this same ambition can be intimidating, especially for players unfamiliar with the series or modern RTS conventions. The pacing is deliberate and unforgiving. There are no shortcuts to success, and rushing into combat without reconnaissance or proper support often leads to disaster. Managing ammunition, reinforcements, and unit fatigue becomes just as important as direct combat. While this depth is rewarding for players who enjoy methodical planning, it also exposes some rough edges. Unit pathfinding and responsiveness can be inconsistent, particularly when commanding large groups, and issuing precise orders in chaotic battles can feel more laborious than intended. Visually, the game clearly reflects its mid-2000s origins. While the move to 3D was impressive at the time, character models, animations, and textures now appear dated. That said, the visual clarity remains strong, ensuring that unit roles and battlefield conditions are easy to read even during large engagements. Sound design supports immersion through convincing weapon effects and ambient battlefield noise, helping sell the scale and intensity of combat despite the aging presentation. The interface and learning curve are arguably the most demanding aspects of the experience. Tutorials are limited, and many mechanics are explained only indirectly, requiring players to learn through experimentation and failure. Combined with long mission lengths, this can make early progress feel slow or overwhelming. Multiplayer options exist but are minimal by modern standards, lacking streamlined matchmaking or community features that would make competitive play more accessible today. Ultimately, Sudden Strike 3 stands as a bold but imperfect attempt to modernize a beloved tactical RTS series. Its strengths lie in its scale, realism, and commitment to tactical depth, offering battles that feel expansive, tense, and strategically demanding. Its weaknesses stem from aging technology, control issues, and a steep learning curve that can frustrate less patient players. For dedicated strategy enthusiasts who value realism, combined-arms warfare, and large, methodical engagements, it remains a rewarding experience that captures the complexity of World War II combat. For others, it serves as a fascinating snapshot of an era when ambition often outpaced refinement, resulting in a game that is challenging, demanding, and memorable in equal measure. Rating: 6/10
This Game took hearth away If somone wanna play this with me like 1v1 just add me on discord its vlako_15 :D
