Sucker For Love: Prelude drew me in with the amazing art of beautiful ln'etta and the intruiging concept. i mean... who wouldnt want to smooch cute cosmic entities!! if you enjoyed this, i would highly recommend playing the first game Sucker For Love: First Date to continue the dangerous endevour. Voice acting is very good and fitting for the character.

Sucker for Love: Prelude is a **free Lovecraftian dating sim** where you look at the vast, uncaring cosmos and say, > “Yeah, but what if I tried to *date* it?” You get a *pink Necronomicon*, a squidgy eldritch cutie (Ln’eta), and a checklist of horrifying rituals to perform in your crappy apartment in exchange for a kiss that will almost certainly end the world. --- ### Pros * It’s literally “Put the love in Lovecraftian” – dating sim + cosmic horror + anime waifu with 37 too many tentacles. * Gameplay loop: * Read pink Necronomicon * Perform cursed ritual * Try not to destroy your sanity *or* your bedroom * Hope your eldritch girlfriend is still into you afterward * Multiple ways to die horribly, all of which are framed as “small price to pay for a smooch from an eldritch goddess.” Direct quote, not a joke. * Great writing and voice acting, with the tone bouncing between “cute romcom” and “you have committed 47 cult crimes” in seconds. * Overwhelmingly Positive reviews and it’s still being kept updated, including a recent Unity security fix—truly the safest way to date an ancient horror. --- ### Cons * Length is basically one chapter / route: a tasty snack before **Sucker for Love: First Date**, not a full meal. * Half the rituals are “do NOT look outside / turn on lights / wear this” and your goblin gamer brain will of course do the opposite out of curiosity and die. * Neighbors probably concerned about all the chanting, screaming, and pink glow coming from your room. * You will become emotionally attached to a being that canonically could erase you, your bloodline, and your mortgage from existence. --- ### Peak Sucker for Love Moments * Carefully following every step of an incantation, then realizing step 6 was “do not read step 5.” * Standing in a pitch-dark room, covered in chalk sigils, wearing something questionable, thinking: > “Yeah, this is worth it for a kiss.” * Accidentally picking the “world-ending” option because the line sounded flirty. * Finishing the prelude, immediately wishlisting **First Date** like, “More horrible rituals? More unhinged flirting? Yes, queen.” --- 9/10 Free, funny, spooky, and way more charming than any cursed pink Necronomicon has any right to be. Would risk my sanity, rearrange my apartment for rituals, and simp for cosmic calamity again.

A really fun and well thought out game. The visuals and voice acting are great, and I really enjoyed the flow of gameplay. It's not an intense or demanding game, but it well conceptualised and fun! Would defiinitely recommend if you enjoy themes of eldritch horror and a well crafted dating sim.
