Fantastic game for when I just want to relax and chill out. I just swim around and take in the gorgeous sites while collecting my treasures.

I have been a life long freedriver and have spent a ton of time in various oceans. This VR game is amazing - it really makes me feel like I'm in the water. It's very immersive and knows how to not interrupt the experience. The graphics are top notch, from the little particles floating up close, the interface between water and air to the many different colors the water can have. I have onlty played for an hour (including the demo) but can't help to recommend it. Perfect to escape into a different world.

SUBSIDE is basically a love letter to anyone who sees water in a game and immediately goes, “Yep, I’m staying here for a while.” I’m already a sucker for water-based games, but this one really knows how to pull you under. The swimming feels calm, the environments are beautiful, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about just drifting around, exploring, and soaking in the atmosphere. It scratches that exact underwater itch: relaxing, immersive, a little mysterious, and full of “let me check over there real quick” moments. The best part is how natural everything feels in VR. Looking around and seeing fish glide by, sharks moving through the water, and jellies floating around makes the whole thing feel like a living aquarium you can actually swim through. It’s peaceful without being boring, and it captures that underwater magic better than a lot of bigger games do. 🌊🐟🦈 That said, this game also makes me hungry for even more. I’d love to see deeper, darker ocean areas that lean harder into that thalassophobia feeling — huge open voids, distant shadows moving below you, strange sounds in the deep, and the kind of underwater scale that makes you feel very, very small. Give me the beauty, but also give me that “something massive is out there” tension. I’d also absolutely love an area inspired by the Paleozoic Era, with ancient sea creatures and prehistoric underwater life. Swimming alongside bizarre old-world creatures, armored fish, sea scorpions, trilobites, and other ancient ocean nightmares would fit this game perfectly. It could turn the peaceful aquarium vibe into something way more mysterious, alien, and unforgettable. It may not be for people looking for nonstop action, but for anyone who loves oceans, pools, diving, marine life, sharks, jellies, fish, or just vibing beneath the surface, this is absolutely worth diving into. Calm, beautiful, and deeply immersive. This one gets my full sea-l of approval. 🌊🦈🐟🐠💧

Le jeu est vraiment incroyable ! testé avec le Quest 3 en PCVR c'était déjà quelque chose, mais là avec mon pimax crystal light, pppf incroyable !! La qualité visuelle va encore plus loin ! Le dev fait un travail de dingue et ont sent qu'il touche sa bille et y met son savoir faire. Je recommande franchement.

Enfin de la qualité graphique pour de la vr comme quoi il est possible de faire un jeux extra qualitatif et non pas de l'autonome , je suis bluffé du rendu game play ! un jeux détente et magnifiques !!!

Not a swimmer so this is a good way to make up for it and do something I wouldn't ever do IRL.

Very realistic! The water creatures respond to your presence just as live ones would in real-world habitats. The created environments are less messy, wet and stinky as the real-life ones they replicate, AND they're more fun. Once you dive into this game, you're hooked and you forget to come up for air.

I tried the demo months ago and found that looking for checkpoints like a needle in a haystack was not the most fun I could be having. After seeing an extended YouTube video upon release, however, I decided to give it another try. Yes, the graphics are amazing. And I found that looking for those checkpoints was not as bad as it seemed- there was always something new and interesting pooping up. But the game is essentially a scuba diving game and for its simplicity, it has to get everything else right. It doesn't. The controls, as basic as they are, are tedious in their use. It is hard to equip the torch. Swimming doesn't work well navigationally. For an underwater environment teaming with objects you can interact with very little. But the worst part is the collisions. In the underwater cave I can't go anywhere with out ping-ponging back and forth between jutting rocks and eventually running out of air and dying. It is ridiculous to get caught up on something and you can't see where the hit box is or what will be affected or why. It's just bad level design. I paid full price. It's definitely not worth that. Maybe at $10 or $15 since I don't think I'll even finish it out of frustration. Looks great. Plays awful.
