For a game having "Together" in the name and that advertises co-op as one of its main features, I expected a much better implementation of the co-op aspect. It feels clunky and slow since each player has to simply wait idle while the other makes a decision about what upgrade or weapon to choose, which happens very often. There's also some lag to the co-op and a few minor bugs.
Played only split screen coop. The game was kinda buggy, noticably under-refined. Other player not respawning when restarting a run, animations flashing a different pose, a random crash, reviving coop player at the zone transition camp not working. Pretty basic things being broken like that. Normally I would call this excusable for an indie and report these bugs, but it seems they stopped updating the game nearly a year ago. Gameplay-wise it was meh, didn't hook us after an hour. I don't know why I wouldn't just play enter the gungeon instead.
the ai for most of the enemies is terrible. a few bugged achievements, it also seems like playing on higher hz makes the game more choppy. not worth 19 USD, didnt even get ts on sale either fml
Funny reference to TBOI. It's fun when you're in call with friends or playing together. It can get difficult but, that's the point of a rouge-like. 9/10
Grab two controllers, and you have the perfect couch co-op game to play with your significant other or family!
I got the game to play with a buddy, but remote play is broken. If my buddy uses controller then mine won’t work. If I use a controller and he uses keyboard and mouse, his mouse won’t work. We just aren’t able to play the game together in coop, which really bums because it’s the only reason I bought the game.
Really fun bullet hell roguelike, very similar playstyle to other games in the genre like Enter the Gungeon. Has a lot of replayability with tons of different characters, weapons and items. It does have some issues though, mostly with balance and some small gameplay bugs. -Item tiers are kind of a scam, a lot of weapons that are high tier are actually worse than the AK you start the game with. A lot of the time I end up just scrapping weapons and sticking to the default AK for large portions of my runs. Especially when it comes to weapons that are singlefire, shotguns or explosive. Their DPS is always trash and are more dangerous to the player than the enemies you're firing at. -The game doesn't know how to handle duplicate items and will sometimes offer you weapons/items you already have. But picking them up just deletes them instead of allowing you multiple of the same item. -Sometimes items will spawn inside of walls and be unable to be picked up. -No matter how many times you disable execution cutscenes in the options they will re-enable themselves every so often.
Enter the Gungeon with a much lower budget and shorter timeline would be a good starting point for figuring out what you are thinking of buying. Instead of goofy they went with cutie characters. This game lacks the polish of aforementioned game but you can feel the love. It's a pretty good game to add to your backlog or pick and start playing right away. Anytime a game get you to forgo 1500 other games in a backlog to get a good amount of enjoyable playtime then it is doing something right. I give AK-Xolotl: Together a 7.5/10 on the small indie out of nowhere scale as it is a pretty good mix up of some cool ideas found in other games that won my attention and time.
Миленькая игра во всех аспектах, как-будто стрелялка рогалик для самых маленьких. Но по мне пустоватая или чего-то не хватает постоянно, мультиплеер не работает лично у меня, только локалка, а жаль... Брать только по скидке
At the core there is something nice. The moment-to-moment gameplay feels good, there are some interesting upgrades etc. What kills this game is the awfully slow progression that doesn't allow players to quickly try out a variety of things.
