It s a good game, however not better than the first one. Still recommend it.
Ocean and shi, but colder.
Not as well-done as the original Subnautica. I found that a lot of the things you *can* make have no real purpose, such as the Prawn armor and all of the modules for your sea truck. The game can be beaten with a guide in 6-8 hours, and without a guide probably in less than 20. Still, it's very fun. The terror of Leviathans is still here. There's still an engaging story and good voice acting. The world design is still top-notch with the geography basically guiding you towards the places you need to be, and all of the technology that you need to find strewn about on the natural paths between locations. A lot of thought and hard work went into this, and if you love Subnautica then you will definitely enjoy this, too.
Эту игру можно считать как прекрасное дополнение истории Subnautica. ДЛЯ полноты сюжета я бы посоветовала пройти первую и потом эту
Disappointment. Nothing more than disappointment. After playing first game of the series I had huge expectations for below zero. But the game was just a buggy mess. In my first playtrough I had to literally restart my attempt (around 4h of progress) because I got soft locked in the terrain and I didnt saved my game before (unstuck didnt work). Honestly biomes are way worse than in the original game, leviathans arent threatening anymore + are super forgettable (except shadow leviathan) and story doesnt make any sense. In the first game we were all on our own, player could feel constant danger all the time. Meanwhile in the bz the mc somehow got alien that is talking to her all the time destroying all fear of being alone on unknown planet. Mc motives dont make any sense. She is getting stuck on the planet by her own choice because she wanted to find out what happened to her sister. Really? This is straight up stupid. Vehicles also disappoint. Prawn suit is fine but rest of the vehicles are problematic in some ways. Snowfox is pretty buggy and not intuitive to drive, its also useless on water (I will get to that later). Seatruck is just way worse and uglier cyclops. The module mechanic is just annoying and its by far the worst vehicle to drive in both games. Now the thing that pissed me off mostly is how much land is in the game. The planet is suppose to be like 95% in water, first game did that perfectly. But in bz 30% of progress is made on land. The game is about swimming cmon. And its also annoying how line progress is. You dont really have freedom like in the first game. You unlock lot of areas just by waiting for new missions thar start after another. Do I recommend this game? Not really, just skip it to subnautica 2.
