good
我说这真不如一代,通关一次就不想继续玩了,一代通关正常模式我还乐意再打一遍极限模式,但不算太烂,中规中矩吧

good game. smaller map than Subnautica 1, but more condensed
I REALY reccomend you buying this beacose: - this story is more of an ,,do wat you want'' insted of ,,Do this, and this Oo nad also that'' -the biomes are realy difrent and beasutiful - there are whales. Thats all beacose I dont want to spoils any thing. -Qlew190
It s a good game, however not better than the first one. Still recommend it.
Great
olid game. I really enjoyed the first Subnautica, so I wanted to try this one as well. Compared to the first game, this one has a smaller map but more abandoned bases, many of them located above the surface. The graphics are good, and the story is decently executed, although it feels slightly unfinished. This time, the developers tried to tell a more linear story than in the first game, which may or may not be a good thing depending on the player. The story also seems to be split into two separate plotlines, and I think one of them is not fully developed and is overshadowed by the other. It almost feels like the developers wanted to tell one story but added another one later just to give the main character a reason to visit the planet. That idea is fine, but I think it needed slightly better execution. The main downside of this game, in my opinion, is that the vehicles were heavily nerfed. For example, the Prawn Suit can no longer build momentum with the Grappling Arm and Jump Jet Upgrade, making it feel much slower and less enjoyable to use. The first game felt much more mysterious and full of unanswered questions. As a player, you had to explore the world and discover clues on your own with very little guidance from the radio. In contrast, Below Zero gives you coordinates for almost every major location, so exploration feels much less rewarding. The world also feels less empty and less scary, but more alive. Despite these issues, the core gameplay is still excellent. If you enjoyed the first Subnautica, I would definitely recommend giving Below Zero a try. It has some flaws, but overall I still think it is a good game. 7.5/10.
Unknown Worlds really managed to up Subnautica with Below Zero and perfected the format. The original game was already fascinating, beautiful, unique, and probably the scariest horror game that's not even a horror game actually. But the things that were a bit lacking in the original have been perfectly adressed here. The ocean is so much more lively here, so many more creatures swimming around, a much more lush sea floor that is even more beautiful at night when they light up. The story is great too. You can actually come to care about your character a lot more, and there is just so many things to uncover, understand and discover. Overall it's probably the best possible sequel imaginable for the original Subnautica. Definitely recommended
